Chapter 27

"Miller you've got this" I heard coach yell from the sideline we were one try down and our team was doing terribly right now I'm guessing it's because of all the fighting we've been doing lately but that didn't matter right now we needed to win, I looked up at the screen that held the score and time we had 15 scents left in the clock I highly doubt we will win though they now have they ball and were one, behind I heard the cheering and screams of excitement coming from the crowd as the other team were inches from the try line just as the player from the other team made it to the try line the buzzer went off we had lost no surprise there but I would have liked to win tonight "good try guys" I heard coach talk to us as we huddled around him "regionals is next month and we just aren't working as a team as we used to" "I agree" I stated and cleared my throat "because you'd know all about teamwork" Wesley spat out at me and I felt my jaw tighten he got on every single nerve in my body and that's a lot he just knew how to push all the right buttons to make me crack he knew me too well, as I was walking towards the car with Rachel and mum I felt a hand on my shoulder and I turned my head it was Jamie "oh hey" I said softy "hey" he said and a smile crept it's way onto his face "I just wanted to talk to you" "about what?" "Wesley" I sighed "do we really have to? I mean like what's there to talk about?" He lowered his hand towards mine I could feel his fingers wrapping around mine but I pulled back "Jamie I ca-" but I was cut off by his words "I just want you to to make up and at least be friend you saw the way we played it was horrible and you know it" "yeah I know but I don't think he will ever forgive me for what's been going on" "he will in good time" Jamie said and brushed his hair with his fingers then he turned his head "that's my mum id better go" "I'll talk to you later" I said turning on my heel I walked back towards the car

"Morning mum" I said as I walked into the kitchen and out towards the dining room table were Rachel was peacefully eating her breakfast so I joined her "I heard what happened between you and Wes" she said "yeah I think everyone knows" I answered and shrugged my shoulder taking the last bite of my toast I said goodbye to mum and started my drive off to school

I walked into science this morning my heart racing not knowing what was gonna happen today something bad I presume I mean that's all that's been happening lately but nobody said anything not one person said anything, I sat down on the chair next to Ryan and turned my head towards him "why is everyone so quiet?" "They all know what happened" Ryan answered and I thought if Teresa,kelly and Jamie "thought so" I said pushing back the memory I didn't want the negativity in my life anymore so I tried to stop thinking about the bad memories I've had with the guys but this was our first fight all caused by Kelly herself "so are you and Wesley 'friends' yet?" He asked and I froze speakly quietly "no were not" I said and raised my head and he looked at me in surprise "are you going to become friends again?" He asked "I don't know maybe" I said and put my hands onto my head I was starting to get a headache from all the thinking "I just can't think about it right now okay? I've got a lot on my plate" "okay" he said and turned his head back to the front of the class

We were playing soccer again in gym today and of course I was being attacked by all the soccer girls they kept asking me to join the team or if I was going to but I hadn't been really sure, just as the whistle blew I ran onto the field with my team I of course was starting off with the ball, my team ran behind me as I ran towards the other teams goals my heart pounding in my chest as I dodged everyone then coming to the foal keeper of course it was Wesley I didn't shoot for a goal this time I aimed for him I took my anger out on the ball I dribbled the ball closer towards the goal and threw my legs into the air booting the ball at Wesley he dodged it from hitting his stomach but his hands worked there way towards the ball but he lost it at the grasp of his fingertips the ball hit the net and I breathed heavily looking towards Wesley then back at my time they ran towards me and cheered my name shouting it wasn't that good of a goal at least I thought, we played for a good 15 more minutes hearing the whistle blow we ran off side for our drinks I then saw mr Fitz walk towards me a sheepish smile on his face "have you made up your mind yet?" He asked and I breathed out heavily "yeah I have" he said and I started to speak the words falling out of my mouth

"You agreed to be on the team?!" Rachel said not sure if she was excited or shocked "only one game and if I like it I might continue" she crossed her arms over her chest "I never would of thought you out of all people to join a soccer team" she said and I shrugged my shoulders chuckling and she watched me "what are you laughing about?" "The funny thing is I never would of thought you to of joined that singing club at school" I said and I laughed "I can't get anything past you can I?" "Nope" I answered and she laughed walking away "I've gotta do some things" "like what text jack" I said furrowing my eyebrows she ran upstairs and came back running down the stairs a few throw pillows at her sides she then aimed them at me and I ran off weaving in and out of furniture a pillow came towards me and luckily I had good reflexes I caught it and I smirked "the tables have turned" I said and started to chase after her towards the long hallway she ran towards the end of hall about to run into her room I threw the pillow at her hitting her fair in the torso "don't mess with me Rachel Miller" I saw a lock of red hair hanging besides the door ways then I saw half her face and I ran towards her making her close her door locking it behind her just remembering something from when I visited Wesley's house I thought of the prank Wesley pulled on Violet and Jordan how he had mopped the floor and told them he had made brownies and they came rushing out only to be falling over when I thought about it it wasn't a bad idea, I retrieved the mop from the laundry and soaked it In water then walking towards the hallway I soaked it wet with water as I finished I quickly put it back in the laundry room I couldn't say I had made brownies it would be obvious it was a prank I had to think yes that's it! "Hey Rachel!" "What?" She called back "jacks here" mum looked at me "no he-" I city her off "shh" I said and I heard Rachel running her footsteps getting longer with each stride just as she reached the end of the hallway that led of into the kitchen Rachel fell onto the fall a loud bang against the ground I burst into laughter and threw my head into my hands Rachel was in the ground oh crap maybe she's hurt I went down to her and she his her head "Rachel" I said softly I bent down closer and I felt arms wrap around my shoulder and throw me to the ground "damn girl good acting" I said and she smirked then rubbing her head "ouch that hurt" "sorry" I said and we both just started to laugh these were the moments I cherished
