Chapter 10

I woke up on the right side of the bed I turned over the left side was cold I shivered slightly and rubbed my eyes I has been crying last night from what had happened

It was a horrible night after the accident

I could barely speak of it

I was so sad so I closed my eyes and laid their lifelessly so sad

I heard footsteps coming into my room I looked up and saw Rachel I lowered back down to the pillow

She came and sat with me putting her hand on my shoulder

"Jess?"

"What?"

"I'm sorry"

"But she-"

Rachel cut me off

"I know I know" she said pulling my head to her chest holding me close

"Why her?" I said sobbing

"I'm not sure but I know that shed want you to get through this"

"How am I suppose to get through it!? my best friend died yesterday In a car crash with a drunk driving bastard!"

"Jessica it's going to be okay"

"When's her funeral?"

"Two days from now"

"Okay"

It was now lunch time and I was sitting in the lounge room watching tv not caring about the channel

Mum came in with lunch a friendly smile on her face she set it down next to me on the arm of the chair but I simplify just looked away and nodded my head

"Jessica, you've got to eat"

"I'm not in the mood"

"You haven't been in the mood since this morning"

"Well I'm sorry I'm sad"

"I'm sorry, I just want you to eat some food"

"I don't want it"

"Okay than" mum said turning and taking the food to the fridge

I felt a buzz from my phone and I pulled it from my pocket i had a dozen notifications

They were from Facebook saying R.I.P Lucy Smith

I saw that most people had written poems,letters etc. for her so I decided to write one...

Dear Lucy

You were my best friend and I love you so much it hurts my stomach is in a whirl of pain my eyes are sore from crying its been a terrible day for me but I know your watching over me saying you can get through it, you were funny,kind,loving and beautiful you are forever in my heart and everyone else's I know your in a better place right now but I want you here right beside me laughing and talking about how we smashed the other team last night but your not and I have to deal with I just don't think it's right to act like it never happened you were here with me for only a short amount of time but you were truly amazing and Lucy Smith let me just tell you to rest in peace you beautiful girl I love you forever xoxo - Jess

I then got heaps of notifications saying "you're such an inspiration to everyone", I'm sorry to hear that :'(" etc.

I them got a text message from Wesley

"Hey... uh I saw your status update it was beautiful and I'm sorry I know she was your best friend"

I just turned off my phone and left it sitting in the couch sad as ever not thinking
