Ch. 5: Training

You open the notebook.

Which immediately left you in question, as you raise your eyebrows at the torn out first two pages, while the rest seemed intact, as you ran your fingers through it.

Only the first two were torn out.

After the first two missing pages, was Eren's picture drawn none other than by your dearest Hange.

Next to and below the pictures were words written neatly and very detailed from his height, to blood type, his likes and dislikes, and experiments he's been through. It wasn't that much of a shock that Hange knows this much, since Eren had been her guinea pig from Day 1.

The list went like this, after Eren was
a) Mikasa
b) Armin
c) Marco
d) Connie
c) Reiner
d) Bertholdt
e) Mike
f) Moblit
g) Nanaba

Jean wasn't even in it for obvious reasons. You were a bit surprised that Hange included Mikasa and Nanaba in the pages, for an array of options.

But why wasn't Levi.....or Commander Erwin not in them. Is it because they are your superiors?

Or were the torn out pages both or one of them?

You close the notebook shut, and laid it back onto your  bedside table. You blowout the candle in the lantern, and let out a heavy sigh as you plop your head down on your pillow, staring at the white ceiling now dull and grayish as it is engulf by darkness, but a faint moonlight seeping through the curtain of your closed window let some light into the room. Staring at the blank space as you begin to doze off and finally shut your eyes to sleep.

The next day, is the second day of training with Levi's squad. Which Levi led you and the squad to a forested area in the next town.

You look up at the leaves, listening to the rustling sounds as the branches swaying in the breeze. It is a peaceful morning, as you stand with Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Reiner, Bertholdt Jean, Marco, Sasha, and Connie. Looking around as the whole lot of you waited for Levi in your full 3D Manuver Gear.

Captain Levi had been gone for awhile, as he told your group to stay put, but be on alert, as he go around the wooded area, tying a yellow colored ribbon on tree branches as your objective.

In the midst of waiting, all of you had taken the time to stretch, loosening those tight muscles as you waited. And soon Levi came back, zipping through the trees and landed on the slightly grassy field with its dirt patches here and there.

Levi stared at the group before him with his usual dead pan face as he speaks, "I've tied a total of 20 yellow cloths around the area. Your goal is to find two of them. There isn't a time limit, just make sure you have two, hand them to Mike who will be waiting at the mess hall while he's helping out with preparing lunch or dinner. Whichever time you came in."

Connie salutes again, as he shouts, "Captain Levi, sir. I have a question."

Levi's grey eyes shifts to his squad in front of him to focus on Connie who had a question.

"What is it." Levi says.

"Will this training really take us till dinner?" Connie asks.

"Depends on your skill for observation. If you can't even see a yellow colored cloth amongst these trees. Your shitty eyes must be growing out of your ass. No?" Levi says.

As Connie instinctively covers his butt with his hands, "Yes sir. I mean, no sir!"

Connie takes a look at Sasha, as he asks, "What was the question? Was that a question?!"

Sasha bursts out laughing much too dramatically as she slaps her palm on top of her thigh as she says, "Haha your eyes grow from your butthole?!"

You glance at Sasha with wide eyes, then at the Capatin looking at them with his usual deadpan expression.
