Battleship.

Chapter 7.

The ship of some sort zoomed over Mick, Zane and Cal's head. "I wish we could get a hold of Hopper." Zane said which made Cal look at him. "Who's Hopper?" He asked. "He's a tactical actions officer on an Arleigh Burke class destroyer. It has the resources that could take down this entire mountain out." "Well great, that makes a lot of sense. Let's call him." Cal said before taking off his glasses and wipe off any particles or mud from the lenses. He then put it back on. "We can't. Everything is jammed." "They're using an electromagnetic field to block our signals. It's more like a pulse, it's not a brick wall. They are gaps, okay? From inside the barrier we might just be able to get a call out. If I could get to my spectrum analyzer, then, theoretically, we could find a frequency we could broadcast on-" "Do you have a fucking piece of equipment that can make a call?" Zane asked out of frustration. "Yeah." "Get it." Zane demand. "I can't because it's down there, in that nest of Aliens." Cal said. Zane sighed. "Fine, I'll go get it." He said. "Woah, hold on now. You don't even know what it is and your'e already ready to risk you're life by going there?" Mick argued. He didn't want his friend to go down there, he'd rather Cal go than him. "I'll be quick I promise." Zane said which made him sigh. He knew that once Zane is ready to do something, he will do it. "Tell me what it is." Zane asked as he looked at Cal.

The John Paul Jones sailed in the water while Alex and Nagata looked at the screen. "We are looking for patterns of water displacement." Nagata said while Alex's eyes skimmed through the screen before seeing one that were blinking rapidly. He walked up to the screen and pointed at it with his pencil on the left side. "That buoy is underwater." He said as it turned red before the other next to turned red. "That's a ship." Alex turned. "Get on your gun." He ordered to Raikes. "Yes, sir." She said and got up while he sat down next to Nagata and put on the headset. Raikes and Nagata did the same. Ordy that were outside looked through the scope to see if he could make out anything.

The red then moved to another towards the right. "Target, Echo 1-1." Nagata said. "Roger. Echo 1-1." Raikes typed and it was locked on. "Ready to fire." She said. "When we fire, they will know where we are." He said which made Alex glance at him before putting his attention on the screen. They waited until it turned red. "Fire!" Ordy looked as the two missile fire out and into itself direction. The missile's were going but then it disappeared. "Ordy, anything?" Alex asked. "Negative, sir. It's a miss." The red then started to move diagonally, going straight for them. "It's heading towards us."

The three somewhat got close enough to the house station as they lay low. Cal had already told Zane what he had to retrieve. "You ready?" Mick asked as he looked at Zane who nod. "You know I always am." He said. "Be careful." Mick said before patting his back. Zane moved away and crawled down so he wouldn't get seen by the Aliens that were working. "Alex is gonna kill me when he finds out about this." He thought.

Once he reached to the door, he bend his upper half down a bit before going inside. He watched as two dish were blinking red on the computer screen while the other was still green. He then watched out the window to see the ship dropping a huge box onto the ground. He moved away and found the suitcase, he picked it and put it against his front chest but as he turned around, he saw a Alien came in and looked at him. Zane stood like a mannequin while watching forward. He was shaking inside but he tried to clam down.

The Alien walked towards him slowly before scanning him green. It then reached out and grabbed onto the suitcase while tilting it's head before moving away and out the door. Once it did and was far away, Zane made a break for it and ran out the door he came through and up the hill where Mick and Cal was waiting for him. "You are way more brave than I am and I respect that." Cal said while Mick was happy that he was ok.
