Arielle

Today mom was supposed to bring over my clothing because i'd be staying here for a couple weeks. So I texted her then went to go do my usual boring routine before school.

And as i'm doing that I see a shirtless Layden in the bathroom, I try not to look because lusting is very bad but when can I say? only Jesus was perfect.

"Take a picture, if you love staring so much." Layden says.

"Shut up." I say rolling my eyes.

"Bathrooms all yours." Layden says winking at me.

He shouldn't do that, I can't handle this right now. Lusting is very bad. I tell myself over and over in my head. I try to say a mini prayer.

I take a shower and get dressed for school.

Layden gets his sister ready to get dropped off to her elementary school which is not too far from the high school.

"Lailah you look so adorable." I say touching her cute nose.

"You too." she says, me and Layden both chuckle.

Once we were all ready, I get Lailah in my car because Layden has early football practice so I drop her off.

"Bye Liah, be good ok." He says as he kisses her forehead.

"See you at school" he says as he looks at me and does something that catches me by surprise he also kisses me on the forehead.

And then he winks.

He probably did it as a joke but I felt butterflies. I know I probably shouldn't like Layden because we have nothing in common belief wise, and if we did ever hypothetically speaking get in a relationship he'd be disappointed because I can't do and won't do sex before marriage, and most guys my age just won't settle for that.

But I have principle's and a faith to follow.
So it just would never work. I have to be logical here.

As I pull myself out of my thoughts I get in the car and start driving to Lailah's elementary school, she just started kindergarten, how cute. She better enjoy it while she cans.

I pull up in the drop off line and one of the staff ladies helps gets her out of car.

"Bye, Lailah have a good day." I say as she's getting out.

"Yew too." she with her cute little pronunciation.

I drive and get ready to head to my school now.

Soon enough I pull in and meet with my two bestfriends as always.

"Hey Jordan, Hey Evie!" I say as I walk towards them to give them hugs.

"Hey girl, what's up?" Evie says.

"Well... Guess what guys." I say about to introduce the fact that I have to stay with Layden.

"Spill it." Jordan says, impatiently.

"Well... I have to stay with Layden for a couple weeks because his moms wants me to help babysit his sister." I say.

"Wait he has a sister, That's so weird to imagine since he's basically the spawn of satan." Jordan responds.

"Well, we've been getting to know each other and turns out he's not that bad after all. He likes art and constellations. He's basically a geek behind that tough jock persona he puts on." I say in his defense.

"Who would've known." Evie says.

We continue to converse about my encounters with Layden so far until the bell rings. And then we get to class.
