Layden
"Can you wake me up to tomorrow for your church service?" I text her, I don't really know what time a church usually starts so i'll use her as my alarm.
"Yea sure." Arielle replies back.
"How'd you get my number?" She texts back
"School directory. ;)" I respond back.
" Touché ." She text back not even noticing I was smiling the whole time.
"Alright, Goodnight Elle. I had fun with you tonight." I say.
"The feeling is mutual." She's says, my heart kind of flutters, at the sight of that text.
I don't know why I'm even doing this, I don't believe in God, but something about her just makes me curious so I'm willing to even try church for once for her.
I try to sleep.
Hours Later
As I'm enjoying my sleep i hear my iPhone ringtone go off, I rub eyes and pick up the phone and to whom I answer to Arielle.
"Hey, Layden it's time to wake up." She says
"Really this early?" I respond in his sleepy voice
"Yep." She responds
"Um one question, what exactly do I wear? I've never been to one of these before." I ask I was kinda of nervous I didn't know how to dress, or act.
"Just wear something casual." She says.
"Alright see you in a couple." I say
Soon enough I get in the shower, brush my teeth, and eat breakfast. Then after i finished I waited for Elle to get to my house.
Minutes Later I hear a knock at my door, I open and it's Elle. And I don't think i've ever said this but she looks really good, if i knew this how she dressed up for church i'd be going every Sunday.
"You look nice Arielle." I say.
"Thanks, I could say the same for you too." She says. I try to hide my smile because no girl has ever made me smile but for some reason Elle did.
We walk to her car and start driving to the church.
Soon enough we arrived.
"Wow this place is huge." I say in amazement.
"Yea it's one of the bests churches in this county." She responds.
"I'm kind've nervous, I don't really know what expect." I say.
"Don't worry it'll be fun, we are not gonna go to the boring church with the old people, we are gonna go to the youth group. With people our own age." She says trying to comfort me and it successfully worked I was more calm then I was before.
"Let's go." She says opening the building door.
Inside we are greeted by to of her church friends Martha and Ryan.
"Hey guys, this is my friend Layden."
She says as She introduces me.
"Nice to meet you Layden." Martha says.
"Welcome to our church." Ryan responds.
"Let me show you around." Ryan offers.
"Alright." I say as I look back at Elle for reassurance.
