Stronger {Kiba Inuzuka Love Story} [2]

We rode the river for a couple hours until we approached what seemed to be a small mountain, the river running directly through it

"Shit" exclaimed Shikamaru as he jumped out of the boat and began pulling it towards the edge, Akamaru and I jump out to assist.

"Whats up?" questions Norio, glancing around as he perches on the muddy bank, offering a hand out of the canoe for Ino.

"look" Shikamaru nods towards the mountain, tucking his hands into his pockets , "do you see that Dam opening? That door is way too advanced to be a regular door"

"so this is their hideout, ya think?"

"I assuming so, and theres a high chance we were spotted, lets get closer and scout a way in before a patrol finds us"

I nod determindly as I stride forward Don't worry Sayuri, I'm coming for you, please be in there

From my vantage point I watch a patrol of five sneak out of a door that looks almost exactly like the rock mountainside. I flash my headband to alert Ino and Shikamaru on the ground to their presence.

My body itches in anticipation, we are so close, so close to getting her.

I leap from the tree and join Akamaru and Norio behind the bush at the base. In the heavily shaded forest Shikamaru is quick to take down the enemy nin.

Ino whistles a birdcall and we make our way towards the fray. She has already begun stripping one of the unconscious nin for their uniform.

"Norio" Shikamaru calls, holding up one of the Nin who is conscious, he writhes and tries to get away from the shadows but Norio flips his hand sign and goes still.

Ino huffs as she rolls over her nin, "this is gonna be a little too big" She glances at me watching her, "well are you going to stand there or are we going to rescue Sayuri?" She adds a smirk at the end that I'm  sure was supposed to be confidence booster but to me the only thing I needed was the thought of Sayuri.

Her words send me into action as I find a Nin close to my size and begin taking off his armor. Luckily for us each fo the nin have on a sort of half face covering as part of their uniform.

As soon as Ino and I change into our uniforms we tie up the other nin in thick vines and discard all the additional weapons and our clothes in a bush.

I ruffle Akamarus ears "Sorry buddy but you'll have to stay out here, you're our backup ok? Keep an eye on these people" He whines softly but nods and crouches in the shade of a tree, out of sight.

Norio finishes zipping up his uniform as he explains what he saw in the Nins mind. "Ino can link us so we can all share the route information," he pauses, adjusting his shirt "there shouldnt be anyone waiting for us when we come back in and the base is surprisingly small. It should only take us a couple minutes to find Sayuri" As soon I open my mouth for a question he holds up his hand "That man escorted Sayuris Uncle to the base. He never saw Sayuri but its highly probable that shes here. We'll have to act fast, we'll need an escape plan after we get them"

"Leave that to me" Shikamaru nods while adjusting his hood. "now lets get going, if we encounter anyone lets stay calm about how we deal with them"

stay calm, yea right, how was that explosion staying calm?

Obviously our lay low plan didn't work. Norio and I race throught the maze of the passages following his directions. Sounds of fighting can be heard as Ino and Ronin attack the Nin down below.

Right in front of us a door shoots across the hallway and out emerges two battered figures, one resting on the shoulders of the other.

At the sight of them Norio and I ready ourselves for a fight, until the smaller one steps forward with what looks like a scalpel.

"Get the fuck out of our way" She demands, stepping forward into a fighting stance.

I feel like the all the air has been knocked out of my lungs, there she is, battered and bleeding but standing on her own two feet and still fighting.
