BOOM
The sound echoed through my head and I crumbled to the floor, my hands grasping the sides of my head to stop the ringing. My lungs ached as my breathing quickened. My vision was blurry, all I could see was Randy fall back to the ground with Billy standing triumphantly.
He groaned and fell silent. "Randy!" I managed to get out, crawling over to his body. "Anthony Perkins, Psycho..." I turned my head in disgust. "Come on Angel, don't look at me like that! We only did this all for you." He lifted his hands and stuck one of the blood-colored fingers in his mouth. "Corn syrup, the same stuff they use for Pigs' blood in Carrie."
I stood up and ran towards the kitchen smacking into Stu. "Stu, please! It's Billy! We need to go!" I dug my hands into his sweater. My tear-stained face turned back to just see Billy smiling. A sick feeling crept into my stomach and I slowly turned back.
Stu...
The closet...
His house...
Stu was Billy's accomplice...
"Hello, Angel..."
I pushed past Stu and into the kitchen. "Ooh!" he called entertained by my fear. Billy met me on the other side. "Oh no, we can't have you doing that!" The gun was held directly at me. I stopped in my tracks and jumped back slamming into the counter. I wanted to be as far away from them as possible.
Stu threw the small box over to Billy who caught it with ease.
"What's wrong Angel? It looks like you've seen the devil!"
I staggered backward and into the corner. Billy and Stu were closing in on me. "I'm sorry!" I cried dropping to my knees and covering my face. "Sorry for what baby?" Stu knelt next to me and brushed my hair away. I tried to push away, but there was nowhere to go. "I don't know! Whatever I did wrong please tell me! I swear I can try fixing it!" I pulled my face away from my hands to look at them.
"I'm not a virgin, I've had a few drinks tonight so I'm ultimately going to die tonight!"
Their faces fell into ones of remorse. "Val, you aren't in trouble... you didn't do anything wrong... Don't worry!" Billy spoke in a calming tone. "Here, is it the gun that scares you?" He threw the gun on the kitchen island. "There, no more gun."
It didn't help. "Why are you doing this?" I shot back. "Well Val, it's just like Billy said a minute ago, 'it looks like you've seen the devil'! We're the devils you are the angel! And you can't have one without both! We are meant for each other!" Stu yelled.
"Then if you wanted me, you could've kidnapped me or something! Why did you have to kill, and take away everyone I loved!?" I slowly stood up, using the counter for support. "Well, we couldn't have drawbacks. They were liabilities!" Billy answered moving closer. "Now, why don't you help us? We did you a favor, you can do us one."
"No!" I whined. My body ached as I began to collapse again. "Where are you going?" Stu asked as he caught me. "Don't touch me!" I seethed. His eyebrows furrowed. A hand grasped my wrist and pulled me sharply, twisting my ankle even more. I let out a scream and hunched over. Billy pulled me back up, constricting my movements. Stu passed him the knife and Billy held it up to my chest. "Don't you fucking talk like that. It hurt me enough to put those bruises on your neck, imagine how much it would hurt me to do worse..." He mumbled in my ear and twisted strands of my curled hair in his fingers.
Tears fell down my face. "You know... It hurts to see you cry..." Stu nodded in agreement. "Yeah, and hearing you cry on the phone was even worse! We couldn't be there for you!"
Billy pressed his face further into mine, kissing my neck as Stu began to rant. "But now we will always be with you! We found an old abandoned cabin a few states away, and threw a few of your clothes in another state! They won't be able to find you!" His eyes lit up with excitement. "But look! Here's the best part!" He marched up to the pantry door. "I'll be right back!" Stu made fun of Randy as he fell backward into the door, opening it. His crazy antics made me shiver. My head twisted in disgust as Billy continued on my neck.
"If you want to get it on, might as well do it now, I'm already going through enough hell!" He pulled his head back in confusion. "No, not right now angel!" He spun me around and sat me on the kitchen island.
Stu waltzed back out. A man dragged along with him. "Neil!" I cried recognizing him. His mouth was bound with duct tape, as well as his arms and legs. "What do we have behind door number 3 Valarie?" Stu joked. Billy smiled. I began to scoot in his direction but Billy grabbed my arm stopping me in my tracks. "Guess we won't be needing this anymore!" the taller male spoke into the voice box and shoved it into the jean jacket of Neil Prescott, along with the phone. I watched in horror and Neil's eyes met mine.
I mouthed I'm sorry, but there was nothing I could do. "Got the ending figured out yet Val?" Billy yelled squeezing my arm. "Come on Val! You think about it! Your friend's daddy is the chief's suspect, he cloned his cellular," Stu pushed Neil to the ground, "Evidence is all right here!"
"What if her father snapped, her mother's anniversary set him off and he went on a murder spree killing everyone?" The brunette's hand caressed my face pulling it back so that I would look at him. "Except for Billy and me," Stu's eyes widened in excitement, "We were left for dead!"
"So then... what about me?" I asked. They looked to each other, and then back at me. "That's the best part!"
