Wow, 3 updates in the same week! You guys must be so surprised, especially since it was a whole ass year before this.

I open my eyes, which had closed automatically in the anticipation of pain. Honestly, I expected to be squished more.

I somehow landed on my back, banging my arm against a stair. I fell with my legs spread apart, which probably saved me from a bit of the squishing.

This is not the position I expected to be in when I agreed to let Rick come over. Ah jeez, and Rick is on top of me. I'm never gonna live this down. I look up at him and one thought runs through my head.

Ugh, this must look so gay.

His knees are between my thighs and one arm is right next to me, holding him up and pinning me down. He's looking right down at me and maybe it's just my head but I could almost swear there was a pink flush on his cheeks.

Guessing by the warmer than normal feeling on my own face, I don't think he's the only one blushing. Then again, how can I help it when when I can hear that he's breathing hard from the fall, when he's so close that I can feel the heat coming off his body.

He's not moving or saying anything, just staring hard at my face.

"So uh.. nice weather we're having?" I offer, before remembering why I was running in the first place.

"Hey so, any chance you can let me up and stay here for a minute. There's something I need to take care of in my room." I try to explain, not really expecting it to work.

I see a blank look flash across Rick's face before it's replaced by a smirk. Uh oh, that look does not bid well for me.

He still doesn't say anything, just staring at me with that same expression.

"Uh, Rick?" I try again.

Finally, he speaks up. His expression says no dice, and his lips say, "Not a chance."

Whelp, I tried. This is where I die. My life ends here. R.I.P. Morty, killed by some science guy in my own house.

Without any warning, Rick stands up. He offers me his hand and hesitantly I let him pull me up. He leads the way upstairs before pausing in the middle of the hall. I stop too, confused before he opens his mouth again.

"Alright Morty, which room is it?"

"What? Oh, it's this one," I say, opening my bedroom door and stopping again, this time in the doorway, blocking the actual room from view.

"Are you really sure you aren't willing to stand in the hall for 30 seconds?" I'm halfway ready to start begging, but not quite desperate enough to make it obvious.

"Nope, let's go in." And I don't have too much of a choice. I guess it's not really that bad, I can hide it as long as we don't need to use my computer.

I go sit on my bed and, looking around suspiciously, he takes the desk chair sitting right next to my computer. Well I'm alarmed.

Thankfully he doesn't seem interested in it and pulls out his own laptop. For a while, we get some real work done and there's no problem. We decide on materials and most of a design, and I even get a little research done on my phone. Luckily, Mrs. Sanchez doesn't require us to cite sources or anything.

After some time though, Rick's laptop battery dies. We'd gotten a lot done, and I hope it'll be enough to convince him that we can be done for the day.

"We can do the rest tomorrow," I offer, tentatively. "We got enough done for now, right?" I try my best to convince him we don't need to do more.

"Nah, let's just get the design done now so I don't get any materials we don't need. I'd rather be sure now than waste my time later." He makes a lot of sense, and if I had any actual objection to working, that would've convinced me. However...

"Well, whats an extra day gonna hurt? We don't need to work so hard..." I let my voice trail off here and he smirks before putting what I think is a fake hurt look on his face.

"If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were trying to get ride of me."

I was, but not like that! And he makes it sound so mean.
"I- uh- No! It's not that at all!" I panick, "I just don't want us to use my computer because it, um, got a virus!"

He looks at me and I keep going, laughing nervously.
"Ah, yup, and I was embarrassed to tell you, so we'll just have to do the rest tomorrow on your computer!"

"Can I see?" He seems intrigued, though I can't tell if he believes me.

"Oh um- I, uh, wouldn't want to trouble you-"

"Maybe I can help, and I really want to get this done now. Don't worry, I don't mind taking a look." This would be uncharacteristically kind of him even if I wasn't lying to his face.

"Well um-" He turns on the computer and is prompted by a password screen.

"C'mon, no harm in trying right?" He continues, "Now what's your password?"

"I- well-"

"Oh wait, let me try!" He types something in and nothing happens. He tries again and- oh God he guessed that my password was 'Jess1ca'.

Was it that obvious really? I guess I really need to change that.

The screen I didn't close out on last night pops up, showing a picture taken a few months ago of Jessica. She's looking away from the camera, wearing her purple bikini. Rick turns towards me with another look that promises nothing good for me.

"Some virus, huh?" Well, shit.
