- Cameron Hayes -

Someone is nudging me...

"Cam, get up. You're gonna be late for college." I jolt awake and nearly fall off my bed. I look up to see Caleb staring down at me, he looks like he's about to laugh. Probably at my startled expression.

"You get the glitter off your face?" I smirk. His smile drops and he slaps the back of my head.

I deserved that...

"I'll be downstairs soon." I mutter, rubbing my head in annoyance.

He nods and begins to leave my room. "By the way, my friend Riva is coming over. Look somewhat decent, I don't want her to think you're stupid or something."

I raise my eyebrow, "Her, huh?" I can't stop my smile.

Caleb rolls his eyes, "Yes her, but it's not like that, she's in town visiting her family. I invited her to have dinner with us, that's all. Geez, get your mind out the gutter." He grimaces and closes my door.

Yeah sure...

I get myself ready and go downstairs. Mum and dad are sitting at the dining table with coffee. Dylan is with them but she's eating cereal.

"Well look who finally decided to wake up." Mum says. I simply grin and kiss her on the cheek.

"Morning Dad," He nods in return and I turn to my siblings nodding at them, "family." Grey ignores me completely, Caleb smiles and hands me a plate. Dylan gives me a hug and goes back to her cereal.

Once I finish my plate I text Marcel and walk out to the car with Caleb.

"So how come you're dropping me to college today?" I ask, buckling in my seatbelt.

"I'm just doing this as a convenience, I need to use your car. I'm picking Riva up and dropping her to her sister's house. Count yourself lucky today." He replies, starting up the car.

"Wait, she has a sister?" I backtrack.

Caleb sighs, "Yes she has a sister, and a brother. I don't know why she's staying to visit, it's none of my business really. All I know is I'm dropping her off at her parents' house, inside said house: Her younger sister also resides. Make sense?"

I roll my eyes and scroll on my phone until we arrive at school.

Once I'm out of the car, I grab my bag and see Marcel standing outside the school entrance. I turn back to Caleb who's  already put the address of the airport on his phone.

"So since you have my car, you're going to pick me up. There's a netball match after school today, so come at around 5?" Without waiting for an answer I walk away and call Marcel's name.

He sees me and tucks his phone away, walking into the building. We share a class of psychology with Mrs Morrell. As we walk down the hallway to the lesson Marcel breaks the silence.

"Was that Caleb I saw in your car? Haven't seen him in ages, Is he back?" He asks all at once.

I breathe out a laugh as I open the door to get into the classroom. "Yeah, he's back indefinitely. He needs to find a new apartment, but until then he's moved back in."

Marcel nods in understanding and I go to my seat, to find Aviva already sitting there - only she looks asleep? Mrs Morrell walks in and opens her laptop to begin the register.

"Jones." I whisper, shaking her shoulder lightly. "Jones?" I whisper louder, and she wakes up a bit disorientated.

"Wha- what time is it?" She looks around her in a panic and pats her head hyperventilating.
