Bonus | Halloween

It's Halloween again. You know what that means? Scaring Aviva again...
Honestly speaking, I haven't scared her in years so if I do scare her now she definitely won't be expecting it. Right now she's out with Stella and Joyce leaving me alone with Genevieve. Well not just Genevieve, Jun, Tao and Ayesha are all here too, playing in the garden with Toulouse.
The plan is to scare her by dressing up as a clown. I already know my girl's schedule through and through, so I know exactly where she is going to be.
So what am I doing now? You may be asking...
I'm trying to get into my clown costume. Duh.
Let's just say it's proving to be quite difficult. Not the fact that I can't fit in it. But the whole face paint thing. This is definitely not my speciality. The clown costume covers my entire face but there is a large gap in the eye holes.
There's only one person I know who can solve this. From Aviva's vanity, I grab my phone and call Bruno's number for a video call.
I balance my phone in front of one of Aviva's perfume bottles and stare at myself in the mirror while I wait. I look ridiculous, like I've put face paint all over my eyes and down to my cheeks. He picks up eventually and as soon as he sees me he bursts into laughter.
"Can I know why you're actually dressed like a clown? I mean damn, I know I call you that all the time but I didn't think you'd take it to heart." He chuckles and I roll my eyes.
"No, I'm planning on scaring Aviva and I need your help. Some artistic guidance is needed." I reply, trying to wipe the face paint off with a wet paper towel.
He nods, "I'll be there in fifteen." We exchange goodbyes and I end the call shortly after that.
A knock comes from my bedroom door, but I know it's not Aviva. She's way too early.
"Come in." I say, furrowing my brows and the door opens slowly revealing Genevieve.
"Dadda?" She asks, tilting her head to make sure that it's actually me. I nod slowly with a smile and she runs up to me engulfing me in a hug.
Aww man I'm going to miss days like these when she grows up. I feel so old.
I lift her up and place her on my knee bouncing her up and down. "Hey Princess, you okay?"
"Yep!" She pops the p and nods her head. Looks like she's ransacked her mom's stuff because she's got a bunch of hair clips in that I don't remember putting in this morning when I did her hair.
Her hair is in braids with blonde temporary hair wax on the ends. Her purple dress reaches the floor. As you can hopefully guess, she's dressed up after Rapunzel. It was a full on debate between me and Aviva to dress her up between Rapunzel or Tiana.
I won this time around, but next year she's definitely Tiana.
Ayesha, Tao and Jun run past and stop at the door of my room looking in. That's the thing with having these four around, when one comes the rest of them follow.
Like the freaking power rangers.
"Uhh, why do you have that on your face?" Tao asks slowly in confusion and the other two standing with him nod in agreement.
"I'm going to scare Aunt A." I whisper, even though there's no one here to hear what I'm saying apart from them. I lift up the face paint and show them the mask that I am planning to wear.
