-  Aviva Jones -

I ended up staying over at Cameron's house after buying some new items for Toulouse. When we went to the pet store, he beat me to the cash register and ended up paying.

We've been up all night, he's been playing video games and I'm scrolling on my phone watching Toulouse sleep.

He's become much more calm now, but he doesn't sleep in his bed at all.

"Jones?"

Has he been calling me this entire time?

"Yeah?" I reply.

"I thought you fell asleep, do you want anything to eat?" He asks. That's when I realise he's been off of his game for a while now.

I was really about to say no, but my rumbling stomach betrays me. He shakes his head with a light laugh, leaving the room.

Toulouse begins to stir and make noise. So I decide that he may be a little hungry.

"Cam, where's the cat food?" I yell, from his room.

"It's over here, I'll bring it on the way back."

Happy with his response, I pick Toulouse up and he paws at me then stretches on my lap. Is this the only thing he likes to do?

I lie down to make myself more comfortable and check the time, it's 7 and I have an 8:30 class. Toulouse takes the opportunity to climb up my chest and rest his head on my heart.

Seriously resisting the urge to aww.

"Breakfast is served, but I don't like eating in - oh am I interrupting something?"

"Just some mother and son bonding time, nothing new." I muse. I get up carefully and walk back to the main room where breakfast has been laid out on the dining table.

Toulouse wakes up again and I put him down watching him trot to his feeding bowl.

Cameron sits opposite me as we eat the breakfast he's made. A rustling is heard at the door and we turn simultaneously.

Marcel walks in with a bag, and out of breath. "Hey Cam, oh Avi you're here too. Hey."

I wave and he roams around to find a bowl for cereal. I think.

Cameron rolls his eyes and murmurs something under his breath. "What was that Hayes? Care to repeat it?" Marcel urges.

That's when he notices the cat.

"Who's this little kitten for?" He asks, tickling his chin.

"He's my son."

"He's her son."

We say at the same time. Marcel looks at us thoroughly confused, "ok, since when did you have a cat Avi? And even if he were yours. Why is he here?"

Cameron answers for the both of us, rather nonchalantly, "we're co parenting. Technically speaking he's my cat too."

"So you're the dad - technically." Cam nods, "and you're the mum."

"Correct." I clarify.

"So are you two... like?" He asks, voice raising a couple octaves.

I scrunch my nose up, "no, this is my son, Toulouse. But he is also his son. But we are not together."

"Yet." Marcel coughs, earning him a glare from me. "Damn, I'm sorry. You haven't even finished college but you've already started a family. Welcome to the team little man." He directs this at Toulouse.
