Detective Lynne's POV :

I checked my watch at it says 5.30 in the evening. 'Finally the boring day is about to be over' I thought and my phone rang and I saw it's from my work so I picked it up. They asked me to come to a mall as soon as possible so I took the address and changed my clothes and left for the mall with my belongings.

I reached the location in about 10 minutes and saw some police cars were parked there and policemen were discussing something outside the mall gate so I went to them.

"Good evening, I'm detective Lynne Smith, this case is in my hand for investigation" I greeted them and introduced myself and one of the police came in front.

"Good evening detective, I'm Officer Ryan, they told me to inform you about the case" He said and I nodded and opened my notepad to write down whatever it's gonna be.

"There was murder of a girl named Heather Raven in the basement of this mall, she was 20 and local from here only. We got an eye witness who was there the whole time. We found out about the murder when he called us and claimed that she was his girlfriend and some girl wearing a pair of black heels killed his girlfriend" He informed me everything they knew and I wrote that down.

"Where is he?" I asked.

"Behind that car" He said pointing to a police car at my left. I sent my team to the basement for investigation and I went to see him and he looked like he was lost somewhere. I had a small talk with him but he was not ready to talk about the case so I gave him time to relax which led us to the girl's family.

We reached at Heather's house and met her family, her parents had no idea about Heather's life outside the house but good for me that Heather had a younger sister, Livia. I met her, she was little off but it was understandable, her sister died. I asked her some questions and she was all cool while answering and she even told me that she has a doubt on Noah which was surprising to me because she told me that she only met Noah today. Something about her was still really off to me and I found out what was that, it was her eyes. I saw her in a photo which was hanging in the hall, her eyes were green and when I met her, they were too dark that anyone will say they are black not green and that is what I did but she refused and called me blind 'young girls these days'. I dropped that topic there but kept it in my mind and left with Noah to the police station.

I kept Livia's doubt in my mind while asking questions to Noah and his answers were same as Livia for the questions I asked to both of them but then he took Livia's name from nowhere and that caught my attention because he was not close to Livia and as they didn't even knew eachother till today and the way they were talking about eachother was just really weird but I shrugged it off and ended the investigation for today.

At the end of the day, I had a list of people who can answer my further questions and for the first time I had my top 2 suspects who won't be going out till the end, LIVIA & NOAH - the sister and the boyfriend.

*Next day*

I woke up around 8 in the morning and got ready for the big day for my case. I went to the college where I can find Heather's friends, it was around 10 in the morning. I went to the principal office first, a woman was sitting there, she looked like she might be in her 50's and I saw a her name on the name plate which was kept on her table, it was written 'Mrs. Amy Cullen'.

"Good morning Mrs. Cullen, I'm detective Lynne Smith and I came here for Heather Raven's murder case, I need your help" I said and she nodded and told me to sit. I sat in front of her and pulled out my notepad and gave it to her.

"I want to talk to these students" I said.

"Okay" She said looking at the notepad.

"Elsa Gray? She is my son's girlfriend." She informed me and announced her name to call her into the principal office.

A girl with blonde hair and blue eyes entered after 2 minutes of announcement and sat beside me.

"You called?" She asked the principal.

"Yes, this is detective Lynne and she wants to talk to you" Mrs. Cullen informed her and she looked at me.

"Hi, I'm looking into Heather's murder case and she was your bestfriend so I want to ask few questions." I said and she nodded but she looked uninterested.

"So, you and Heather were close?" I asked her cause I can see how unaffected she was.

"Ofcourse, she was my bestie" She said and rolled her eyes.

"Is there anyone who hated Heather or had a grudge with Heather?" I asked.

"No" She simply said without even thinking. I was going to ask her another question but my eyes went down to her feet and I saw she was wearing black heels with a snowflake silver pendent attached to the hook, I was shocked cause Noah saw the same heels at the murder scene but I made myself focused again.

"Your heels are cool" I said expecting her to be shock but she looked at me with a smile.

"Yeaa my mom gifted me these on my birthday, these are not any normal heels, mom made it customize with that snowflake for me" She said proudly. I was shocked to hear that because she was digging her own grave.

"Are you sure that these heels can't be owned by anyone else other than you?" I asked and she gave me a wtf look.

"Hell yeah" She said.

"Then I'm sorry to inform you that you have to come with us to the police station" I said and called a cop who was outside the principal office.

"What? Why? You can't just arrest me." She said and she was terrified.

"We are not arresting you but you have to come with us because the only thing we know about the murderer was that she was wearing a pair of black heels with a snowflake silver pendent" I informed her and her eyes widened.

"I have other questions for you but we will continue this at the police station" I said and she shook her head and started crying. A cop who came with me took her to the police station because I still have some more investigation to do and Ryan was busy with something I told him to do.
