Cinderella would stay with William at his house, since there was no room for her in Katreena's house. William took some of Emmelina and Sabelina's old baby clothes for Cinderella to wear. He used Emmelina and Sabelina's baby clothes, so he would not have to buy more baby clothes for Cinderella. William did go into town to purchase diapers so that Cinderella would be more comfortable than she would using old linen as diapers. William disassembled an old bed frame he had in storage and used the lumber to build a crib for Cinderella to sleep in. That way, she would not have to sleep in the basket all the time. The basket would then be used to transport her from place to place.

A few weeks later, William and Katreena's wedding date arrived. They had to slightly amend their plans since they now had a baby to care for. As originally planned, Emmelina and Sabelina would be the flower girls, but Cinderella would be left in the care of a babysitter.

William and Katreena were married at the cathedral in the kingdom, which was across the town square from the palace. They had a humble ceremony with only their family and closest friends in attendance. The priest offered to fund a wedding reception himself so the newlyweds could enjoy their special day with their family and friends the way most others did on their wedding days, but William and Katreena declined this offer. Instead, William and Katreena opted to have a shorter wedding so that they could get home to Cinderella. Instead of a wedding reception, William and Katreena enjoyed a home-cooked meal in their house with their family. That Sunday, Cinderella is christened at church and is officially adopted into the Freshorn family.

Both Katreena and William owned separate homes, and they knew that they did not need to keep both houses. They had lived separately before they got married. They planned on selling one of their houses and moving into the other one's house.

Katreena's house had only one bedroom and Emmelina and Sabelina shared it. Katreena slept on a palette set up on the living room floor before purchasing a couch she could sleep on. Katreena's house sat in between a series of other houses that were connected as though it were one long building. While at times, this did limit the family's privacy, the building had a great backyard where the children could play. The only downside to this was that the backyard was shared by all houses included in the unit. However, William's house was a standalone building and had its own private front and backyard.

The decision was made to sell Katreena's smaller house and to move into William's house. The decision was made based on the fact that William's house was larger than Katreena's. William's house had two bedrooms ready to be used and also had a few other rooms that could be converted to serve any purpose that William needed. William planned to convert two of those spare rooms into bedrooms, so that each of the girls could have her own space, which William thought was important for the girls. William believed that as children get older and start to mature, they need their own space to retreat to. Additionally, Katreena liked the privacy that William's house offered the family. Unlike her house, William's home was a standalone building and did not have neighbors directly juxtaposed to William's house.

William listed Katreena's house and the home was sold for a few thousand gold coins. After selling Katreena's house, the family moved into William's house together. As previously planned, two of the spare rooms were converted into bedrooms. Emmelina would stay in the second bedroom, directly next to the master bedroom, where William and Katreena would sleep. Emmelina got the second bedroom because she was the oldest of the three girls. Sabelina would get the first of the converted spare rooms, and the other spare room would be converted into a nursery. When Cinderella outgrows the nursery, the room can be changed to accommodate her as she grows.

As the years passed by, Cinderella grew into a happy young girl. She is living as good a life as her birth mother could have wished for. She has been growing up with two loving parents and has two older siblings. Cinderella, Emmelina and Sabelina had hoped for another baby sister, but at three children, William and Katreena were outnumbered enough as it was. While William and Katreena would have loved to have a child together, they agreed that three daughters was enough for them.
