Chapter 2: Hide and Seek

As Y/N was walking around the city, well, ever since that day, it's as if Y/N's life wasn't even plain anymore.

" Where are all the other people.. "

Y/N said, noticing the lack of active atmosphere in the city. But that's when they noticed a large crowd gathered near the statue of their ruling God, The Raiden Shogun, and noticing a familiar person dressed in purple.

"𝙒𝙖𝙞𝙩 𝙖 𝙢𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩, 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩.. 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙍𝘼𝙄𝘿𝙀𝙉 𝙎𝙃𝙊𝙂𝙐𝙉?!"

Y/N thought in shock and went towards the scene. Spotting someone being captured from afar.. That person was.. Thoma?! Y/N didn't even know he had a vision.. Well that's another surprise. Y/N was observing the situation, well, It wasn't like they could do anything anyway, no one cam beat the Raiden Shogun herself, not even a vision holder. Meanwhile the other beside them, they'd have a chance, they looked like the traveler that met Aya-

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙢𝙚𝙩 𝘼𝙮𝙖𝙠𝙖?!

Y/N froze, it's the exact same Traveler with their floating friend! Before Y/N could react, The Raiden Shogun has already attempted to snatch Thoma's vision. "Attempted." The Traveler had leaped out of their place and snatched Thoma's vision before it could fully get towards the Raiden Shogun.

" Capable of using elemental energy without a vision.. You are an exception, it seems. "

The Raiden Shogun spoke, everyone hs gone silent and went from talking to whispering.

Y/N thought, hearing the same thought and whispers from the people. It's not that Y/N was thinking they were crazy, it's just that the person they were rebelling against.. Is the God of Inazuma herself!!

With that, the Raiden Shogun has created an explosion, infusing electro with her ability, and causing people to move away from the scene.

It was finished, The Traveler was lying on the floor. As expected, it wasn't like anyone could beat the Raiden Shogun in any way. It was the time for the Raiden Shogun to strike, she walked over to the traveler, raising her sword in the process. This was it, the legendary Traveler's death to be caused by an Archon.

" Traveler Traveler!! Wake up!! Don't leave Paimon now!! "

A voice could be heard, Traveler's companion who called themself "Paimon".. Or, herself? Paimon was crying out to her friend praying that the Traveler would come out of the place alive. Her prayers were fulfilled, Thoma, the supposed victim of a loss of a vision, has thrown a guard's spear towards the Raiden Shogun. Her powerful attack had managed to push the Traveler back, leaving them in Thoma's hands as they fled the scene in a hurry.

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩???..

Y/N thought, at this point, this Traveler has gone berserk, first casually meeting with Kamisato Ayaka like it was nothing, saving Thoma's supposed snatched vision, now dueling the Raiden Shogun and LIVING?? With that, Y/N fled the scene, they didn't know why, but it was all so sudden, to the fact that they weren't in there used-to-be peaceful mindset.

" What is going onnn... "

Y/N said to themself, walking quickly as the place slowly flooded with guards attempting to catch the Traveler and Thoma. Yet again, why would the Traveler do that?? It's just a vision, a gift of the gods that give you the random ability to manipulate the element. What were the real meaning of visions anyway?

" Y/N, Y/N!! "

A quiet voice called out to them, causing Y/N to turn around, spotting Thoma and the Traveler.

" What??.. "

Y/N just got called out by Thoma, and the infamous Traveler, how much more dangerous can this day get?!

" Ahah.. You know where Komore Teahouse is, right? "

Thoma asked, giving a little smile while Y/N was just speechless.

" What does that have to do with anything? I don't wanna face the wrath of the Raiden Shogun by helping the escapists who are meant to be slain by her. "

Y/N coldly responded, even so, they did feel the slightest hint of regret in doing so, for they felt like they just let the 2 down. They sighed.

" ..I know where it is, I- "

But before Y/N could finish, the two were already on the move.. Another opportunity was wasted.

" Wow Y/N, just wow. "

Y/N scolded themself, then something else caught their attention.

" Excuse me, have you seen 2 blondes and their.. Flying companion around? "

A guard. Boy oh boy was Y/N the worst at bluffing, but here goes nothing.

Y/N said, boy were they in a panick, a sweat running down their forehead as they avoided eye contact.

But before anything else, the guard was already going in the direction of where Y/N was looking at, and that place was where the Komore Teahouse was. Oh archons.. The Guard has seemed to take Y/N's reaction as a kind of hint on where the two were.

" Ok Y/N, all you have to do is stop the guard before he sees Thoma and Traveler enter, that's it. "

Y/N had already been involved in the situation, there's no backing out now..!

Y/N searched for the guard, by now he was only steps away from the Teahouse, putting large pressure on them.

" Excuse me..!! "

Y/N called out to a guard.

" Yes?? Have you seen two blondes and their flying conpanion? "

The guard attentively answered.

" Um, I've seen them go that way!! Past the Komore Teahouse, they're attempting to flee Inazuma..!! "

Y/N waved back as the guard fled the area, seeing Thoma and the Traveler, along with Paimon entering the Komore Teahouse right on time. Y/N let out a sigh of relief, they'd helped the escapees of the vision hunt decree. But who knows, what if when they figured it out, it's not only them who'd be involved further, besides,
Y/N already chosen to help the two out.
