Chapter 6: She's Special

" So to sum it up, The traveler and I need to head to a place called 'Naganohara Fireworks' and get fireworks to distract the guards while a certain well trained ninja from the Shuumatsuban? "

Paimon repeated. These past few days, Ayaka, Thoma, The traveler and Paimon, with assistance from Y/N have recently been planning out how to stop the Vision Hunt Decree once and for all.

" Indeed, it's no easy task. But I'm sure you can handle it. "

Ayaka said, her face filled with gloom. Clearly, she was serious. No ordinary citizen could pull off a plan this complex. But since it was the traveler they were talking about, they'd have a chance or two. Atleast that's what Ayaka believed.

" I'm wishing you the best of luck. Traveler, Paimon, please be careful. "

The two nodded and fled Komore Teahouse. As for Ayaka and Thoma, they could only sit and wait for whatever news they would receive.

" Traveler? Paimon? "

Y/N exclaimed. They were just about to head inside the teahouse for a visit but then ran into the iconic duo.

" Y/N!! Hello! "

Paimon said and waved.

" What are you two doing? How's Ayaka? How's Thoma? How about you two? Where are you going? "

Y/N attacked them with a bomb of questions. They were really worried about the two, more or less the trouble they caused to Ayaka the days before.

" They're fine! As for us, we're going to Naganohara Fireworks! "

Paimon countered, Y/N could only sigh in relief.

" Naganohara Fireworks? Why do you need to head there? "

Y/N asked curiously. They've never been up to date with the team's schemes. As a matter of fact, they just heard about this one now.

" Let's just say it's a secret mission! "

Paimon whispered, obviously she didn't want the guards to notice anything suspicious. Y/N took the hint and nodded, as they bid each other farewell.

" On second thought.. I think it's best if I don't visit.. "

Y/N muttered. They've been bothered about what they got Ayaka in. Being the person Y/N is, they didn't want to make matters worse for her. So they only left in silence, leaving no trace of their planned visit.

" Is it true?! You're dating 𝗧𝗛𝗘 Kamisato Ayaka?? "

Kiminami Anna exclaimed in disbelief. She certainly didn't address rumors as much as other Inazumans but since it concerns her close friend, she can't help but notice it.

" A-Ah.. No.. It's just a rumor!! "

Y/N said, even if they made it clear to the guards that they and Ayaka were in an intimate relationship, Y/N remembered Ayaka's words.

" If we want to make this work, we need to be very careful about certain things.. "

Ayaka spoke, due to the situation, they needed to be secure and more importantly make people believe that they truly were in love.

" First, we need to be private. I don't think saying we are in a relationship confidently isn't like us. We more or less have to deny it as long as we decide to... Then we should— "

Ayaka paused, she realized she was talking a little too much about it and hid her shy face behind her fan.

" A-Ahem.. Yeah we should do that, go on.. "

Y/N said, covering their face with their hand, avoiding eye contact with Ayaka. They thought it would break the tension, but it sort of made things more awkward.

" A-Ah.. Right.. Ahem.. As I was saying.. We need to raise suspicions, but we shouldn't reveal it to the public. We need to let them figure it out somehow, as to distract them from the seperate plan the traveler and I have. But later on prove it false when the Vision Hunt Decree ends. This is all we need to do.. For the traveler and Thoma. "

Ayaka said and extended her hand to Y/N, as a sign of an agreement. Y/N took her hand, it was cold. But comforting to the touch.

" Foe the traveler and Thoma. "

Y/N said with a smile and Ayaka smiled back. Hopefully this situation wouldn't last long.

" Keeping it private are we?? "

Kiminami Anna teased Y/N, hitting their shoulder a little.

" I told you.. It's merely a rumor, there's nothing going on between u-us.. "

Y/N said, stuttering a bit in their sentence. They could only imagine the trouble that would occur in the future, and they weren't looking forward to it. Suddenly, Y/N received a tap on the shoulder. It wasn't Anna, in fact, it was a light blue haired fair maiden, it was Ayaka.

" Ahem.. Hon— I mean.. Y/N.. Shall we head off? You told me you would come visit me, yet it's been hours since I've even had a glimpse of you. "

Y/N jolted up in shock. It was embarrassing how real this seemed. But they could only play along.

" I'm sorry.. It won't happen again. Shall we? "

Y/N said and got up from their seat, and placed their hand on Ayaka's shoulder.

" I'm sorry it completely slipped my mind, will you ever forgive me? "

Ayaka blushed and nodded. On the other hand, Anna could only watch the satisfying scene in front of her.

" Of course, no worries.. "

Ayaka said and put down her fan. Meanwhile Y/N let go of her shoulder. Y/N then turned to Anna, signaling that they'd be leaving and she nodded and did a little shooing gesture with her hand.

" Go ahead, I don't mind. Besides, Ayaka is really a 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻, isn't she? "

She teased and Y/N nodded in slight embarrassment. Although this was all part of the plan, it felt like a dream. The two walked away from the place.

𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗵, 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹.

Y/N thought. Every moment they've spent with Ayaka meant a lot to them. They were no more than a normal citizen yet celestia somehow chose them out of all people to get into this situation. Was it truly destiny? Or just a coincidence?
