King x Reader Valentines/ anniversary edition

Hiii so this is a Valentine's Day special and yes I know it's a day late but we're just gonna have to ignore that 🤷‍♀️ anyways I hope you enjoy :)

It was the day before Valentine's Day which also just happened to be you and kings anniversary

You were going to every shop you could trying to find the last perfect thing for the present to tie all together

So far you had a box of kings favorite chocolate, a teddy bear that looked similar to kings chastiefol in its beer form but cuter, you also have some dust that Merlin gave you something she's been working on apparently it's like real fairy dust in the fairy tails and can make things grow outside of the fairy kings forest and without using any power, and finally your best gift so far you got him an outfit completely made by you that had holes in the back for his new wings cause you wanted him to know you acknowledged them and was proud he finally got them sense he's been nervous you like him less.

Even though king usually makes the outfits you were good at it too.

You were looking for one last thing though thinking it was so close to perfect.

As you went into a shop by the very end of town knowing it was your last hope before going to another village you saw something that caught your eye

"Hey can I take a look at that" you said pointing to a sword with engraving options behind the counter

"Yeah sure but it's a pricey one don't drop it" the cashier said assuming you've never heard a sword before

You made a bored type of face showing off your swordsmanship to the cashier being satisfied with the schooled expression on his face

"We'll excuse me you look like you know your stuff kid" the cashier said smirking

You just nodded looking at the sword closer

"Do you have any idea what you would want on it" the cashier said asking about what you would want engraved into the sword

You nodded "yeah actually, (y/n-king)" you said combining both your names like a ship name. (You can comment what yours would be lol I'm kinda curious)

"Oooh you have someone special you want to give it to" the cashier said recognizing what you were doing immediately

You nodded and smiled up at him

"Okay tell you what, I'll have it done by this afternoon you stop by later and pick it up and we'll negotiate a price then" he said smiling down at you

"That works for me you said handing him back the sword, thanks sir" you said heading towards the door and leaving

You went to yours and kings house in the fairy kings forest. It's not big but it does the job.

You started setting up his gift for tomorrow and hid it.

Then you realized the time and went out the door in a rush, good thing the village is right on the outskirts of the fairy kings forest.

You went in the shop catching your breath

"Sorry I'm late is it done yet" you said finally catching your breath and getting your balance back.

"Yep finished it a couple minutes ago" the cashier said

"So what're you saying for a price" you said going up to the cashier and out of the doorway

"I was thinking [insert reasonable price] and i think you'd agree when you see it"

You raised an eyebrow "your cocky aren't you"
