~𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝~

˜"*°•.˜"*°• Y/n's POV •°*"˜.•°*"˜

It's been about 7 months since I was taken in by Vander and the others. My ribs were still a little sore, but I was able to move freely without much struggle. Me and Vi have been talking a lot lately ever since and it seems like I've found myself a go to best friend. She's still calling me 'newbie' like I arrived yesterday or some shit. But eh, I'm not complaining about it. 

I've been able to take care of myself instead of having Vi, Powder, or Vander take care of me. But aside from that, today was my first day out of the house and I got invited onto one of Vi's 'job missions'. apparently we're going to be going up to the topside to find stuff to pawn and get food with. I didn't think much of it, so I agreed to go.

We we're climbing a topside building to the roof to avoid any enforcers. The texture on the building was so ridiculously smooth it was almost difficult to not slip down and fall. But we managed.

 "c'mon guys! we're almost there! just a bit further!" yelled Vi from ahead. I sometimes wonder how the hell she was so good at this? well the answer was all too obvious, she had been doing this longer than me and I had only just started today. 

The minutes felt like hours when we finally made it to the rooftop. My muscles were sore and throbbing but It wasn't the painful kind of throbbing or sore feeling. It was like an adrenaline. I was excited to finally be doing what makes the others so much stronger than me. 

"Hey Powder! y/n! come take a look at this view!" said Vi from the edge of the rooftop. Me and Powder walked over to what Vi was looking down at and I couldn't help but take in the sight. My eye's widened at the city view "woah.. This is what you guys see when you come up here?" 

"Nice being above it all huh?" Vi said with a small smirk knowing you loved the view. Powder was smiling a bit at the view "yea. it's nice" said Powder with almost amazement in her tone.

I couldn't help but look over at Vi, for some reason, her expression was enough to overpower the overview of the topside. As soon as she had seen I was smiling at her, she smiled back with a chuckle "c'mon guys. Let's get what we came for and get outa here." She said starting to head to the laboratory. 

Claggor and Mylo were confused on how Vi even knew about this place, they wanted to ask and so one of them did. Mylo spoke up "who exactly did you hear about this place from?" he said, almost struggling walking along the boarder of the side of the building. "Little Man" Claggor just nodded seeming to accept the answer given. 

It wasn't long before we made it into the room. Mylo was trying to pick the lock but was failing pretty bad. I sighed with impatience seeming to have a feeling that we're going to get caught. I pinched the space in between my eyebrows  "couldn't we just...uhm...kick it i-" right as I said that, Vi had Mylo move and she kicked the door in. "c'mon. let's go." She said as she just walked in like it was nothing. My jaw dropped a little at how easy Vi made it look. 

wait- why am I even shocked that she could do that?- 

We all followed behind her as she just placed down the backpack in the middle of the floor "okay- everyone grab items that could be valuable- before Mylo fills the bag with worthless shit.. again.."

I rolled my eyes with a small chuckle as I started looking around with my personal bag in my hand. 

I came across some gadgets and tools I could use for my gadgetry and put what I thought was necessary in my crossbody bag. I even found a bag of money, it wasn't big but it wasn't small either. so it was decent. Vi was looking over and she had seen what I had found and she smiled "good find Y/n!"
