Maya's POV

*One Year ago*

My parents passed away and Jess and I took things really hard. Jessica recovered quickly but it took awhile for me.

A year.

It took me a whole year to become myself again. Niall was worried sick about me. He took care of me though, he made sure I did everything and made sure that I didn't get like last time.

He made sure I ate, I showered, changed, everything. It was hard but I pulled through. It hurt me to know Niall had to do this by himself, even though he chose to do it. He said he didn't mind, so I shrugged it off and let him do what he wanted.

We flew back to Ireland on the 22nd of January. It was hard leaving home but I knew we had to go to our new one.

*Present*

"Will you marry me?" Niall said, down on one knee in front of me. I was speechless.

My boyfriend, Niall Horan, of one year, is proposing to me. Me! Out of all these months of depression, he's proposing!

"YES! NIALL! A MILLION TIMES YES!" I yelled with excitement. Tears were streaming down my face. He smiled and slipped the ring on my finger, the same one as the promise ring. That's right. I kept my promise. And I intend to.

Once he stood up, he hugged me and spun me around, kissing me, passionately. Everyone clapped and cheered, happy for us.

This year was just, wow, its already going to be 2013, and its just been an extraordinary year. This year, Niall celebrated his 19th birthday. Liam and Zayn did as well. Lou just had his 21st while Harry celebrated his 18th. I had my 17th and Jessica had her 15th. Annie had her 16th and Jacob had his 14th.

For each birthday, not including my cousins, we all had a special day with the boyfriend, or girlfriend. Jessica spent her day with all of us since she didn't have a boyfriend and plus I wouldn't let her have one anyway. I finished school in late March and Jessica transferred here, attending a private high school that she enjoys.

"Maya, I love you, I want you to spend the rest of our life with me." he said, tearing up. Aww.

"I promise, Niall" I said and sniffled, smiling. He smiled and kissed me again. Once we pulled apart he was crying. I sniffled and chuckled, wiping his tears.

A few weeks later, the girls flew in and I told them the news. They were thrilled and pulled me into bone crushing hugs. They squealed and of course already started on the planning.

"Hi princess" Niall said smiling and sitting next to me, pulling me into his lap and making the girls squeal again. Oh lord.

"Hi Nialler" I said, blushing a little and feeling the butterflies in my stomach again.

"What ya ladies up to?" he asks.

"Wedding planning" El says and Niall chuckles.

"We were gonna start planning in a few weeks but it's fine by me. As long as I'm happily married to my little princess." he says and kisses my cheek. All the girls squeal and I blush, furiously.

I still can't believe I'm gonna marry Niall. Become Mrs. Niall Horan. Start a new life. Start a new family, hopefully. Everything is gonna change but it's a good thing. Its scary, yes, but it's a risk worth taking.
