While Akiza and Genesis were having their moment, the four Spiders and Officer Davis were making their way through the bootleggers tunnel. Suddenly there was an explosion. Make that two, and the five hurried, only for everything to have been taken in a flash
"The vault's been GTAed." Reiko jokingly said.
"And I thought Aki was the game junkie. Lyla muttered, fondly
"Come on, maybe we can catch them before they drive off." Akatsuki said as they ran for the back door, with Jefferson grabbing some stun grenades. Thankfully, the demons didn't take everything
The demons soon noticed the spider and quickie tried to drive off but the spiders attacked a webline and pulled hard to keep them from moving. One demon opened the trunks and cut their webs with an energy sword. "Kill them!" he ordered in chinese while the truck he was in drove off.
"Phoenix, go after that one. We got this." Akatsuki said as Lyla nodded and swung off
Akatsuki, Reiko and Officer Davis took on the demons who stayed behind, with Davis tasering them or stunning them with stun grenades.
Meanwhile Lyla swung after the truck, dodging gunfire and missiles that came her way as the truck sped through manhattan
"Phoenix, how's it going? We sent Davis to help you." Reiko said
"Moving as fast as I can. They're driving like drunks. Someone'll die if I don't hurry up!" Lyla shouted
"We'll be there soon, just do your best!" Akatsuki said before hanging up as he was being shot at by another demon
Lyla got in close and knocked any demons out of the truck and webbed them to lamposts. Soon she made it to the driver's seat and webbed the guy's gun out his hand. Sadly, that distracted him and he ended up colliding with an oil truck. Lyla was launched off the truck but quickly webbed herself to the oil truck and pulled to keep it from falling onto the train tracks.
Sadly however, that train decided it wanted to run on time for once and she had to hurry. She pulled with all her might while being careful not to tear the web or anything off the truck and she thankfully got it out the way. But she was losing her grip and before it could fall, two more pairs of webs shot out as Akiza and Genesis showed up to help
"Thank you. Wait, where were you two?" Lyla asked, grunting as she pulled the truck
"Dealing with demon backup." Akiza said.
Speaking of backup, the demon truck driver was there and he planned on ramming the spiders. But just before he could, a police cruiser came out of nowhere and rammed into the truck, courtesy of Davis. The demon limped and he tried to fire at the spiders but Jeff wasn't down and he punched the demon as he opened fire, and they both collapsed
Akatsuki and Reiko showed up to see the aftermath but thankfully while the demon was out cold, Jeff was hurt but alive. A crowd gathered around to clap for the heroes but the spiders gave Jeff all the credit. And after that ballsy move, he earned it
"Well, that was fun." Genesis said a little out of breath, nudging the others.
"Yea, it wa-*sniff* *Sniff* Gen, why do you smell like pheromones?" Lyla asked and she smelled the same scent of Akiza. "Akiza.."
"Do you even know what pheromones are?" Genesis asked Lyla.
"After what the horsemen did to us for technically a century, I know that smell a little too well." Lyla said, her anger growing
Genesis and Akiza's spider -sense went off as they looked at Lyla who supposedly towered over them. "Were you two boning while we were fighting?"
"N–n-no.." The two squeaked nervously
