Before everyone has a duck, let me explain. I tried to make A Warrior's Claim free forever on Amazon and they won't have it. So... I marked it down as LOW as I could. PLUS, I can put the book up for free every 90 days. The promotion will last for 5 days.
This is the best I can do. I won't make much money off this book, but I want my readers and followers to at least have a chance at the book.
When will the free book promotion begin? February 1st was the end date of the last promotion I did for the book. I must wait at least 90 days after this day. So, I should be able to begin free promotions after May 2nd, 2022.
Why can't it be free here? Amazon has an exclusivity clause for those in KDP Select or KDP (kindle direct publishing). This means I can't offer the book outside of Amazon. It sucks, but my writing is currently my only source of income. This is how I pay some of my bills. --- With Wattpad, I don't make any money because I don't have millions of views and/or several thousand followers. So, I am not a candidate for their "paid program".
That sounds greedy. Why do you have to make money? I am an adult with bills. IF my bills don't get paid... means I don't eat... means I don't have power... means I don't have water... etc. I can't live off anything. I am human. Not one of those fancy "air" plants. I need water, food, gas for my car, a roof over my head, etc. This doesn't mean I am being greedy by charging for my books. It means I am doing my best to LIVE and get by. Just like anyone else.
Doesn't Wattpad have a paid program? Why can't you use that? Yes. --- Sadly, I don't have the requirements to be a part of that program. You have a certain amount of followers, views on stories, a certain degree of social presence, etc. There are several requirements you have to meet in order to be a part of that program. None of which do I meet. I wish I could meet them, but that is just a dream and one out of reach for me right now.
Will you have ANY stories for free on Wattpad? Yes! However, my Tnari Universe may never be here. I have some stories started here, but right now I can't focus long enough to write on more than one. I have a lot of personal life issues that prevent me from writing multiple stories at this moment.
