David's POV:

Writing is something that gives me a happiness like few others manage to do. As soon as I start creating the characters and their world, I feel like there are no limits. It's been two weeks since Simon's mother's funeral and since he allowed me into his world as more than just a friend or employee. That kiss had been the trigger for my happiness. I can still feel his lips on mine melting into a kiss that meant so much. A moment that was interrupted by one of my dearest people, my beloved Lara. Knowing she was coming to London soon made me even happier.

It's late and the auditions are finally over. Simon and I are ready to resume our pending dinner plans so we each get into our cars and head home. No one knows yet that Simon and I have a thing, he has his reasons and I just don't want a media scandal to ruin everything when even I'm not sure where our relationship is going. We've been on the phone every night, Simon likes to make sure I don't have nightmares and I like to make sure Simon doesn't get lonely. I go home to pick Bert up and take him with me, it will do him good to play with Squiddly and Diddly for a while. I arrive at Simon's house and park my car in the huge private parking space at his residence. I carry Bert and get out of the car. We both walk to the door' which is open and Simon is there waiting for me.

"I see that Bert wanted to join us this time," Simon comments with a smile on his face and strokes my dog's head.

Simon loves dogs. He carries Bert himself and takes him with his dogs who bark at first but after a moment, they start to run with Bert. I smile and close the door behind me. Simon's house is huge. The living room has a huge TV screen and there are some pictures on the walls, pictures of him and his family. I was expecting a giant painting of him on a whole wall but apparently his ego isn't that big yet.

"Shall we go to the kitchen? I really want to try that lasagna", he says quite relaxed.

I smile and nod. I walk him into his kitchen and boy am I impressed again, it's a perfect kitchen, with luxury appliances, floating cabinets and a centre island. Simon opens the fridge and pulls out everything we're going to need. I snap out of my astonishment and start cooking. My mother is an excellent cook, so I inherited my love of cooking from her. Simon watches me as I prepare dinner and then put everything in the oven.

"Do you want to watch TV while we wait," Simon suggests, referring to dinner.

"Show me your house, Cowell," I make another suggestion as I'm really curious to see his luxurious mansion.

Simon laughs and nods and then takes my hand leading me through the corridors. I must confess that his residence is huge, full of luxuries and all kinds of rooms. He even has a recording studio in the house. We arrive at the last room, his room, something he was saving for last. He opens the door and walks in, I follow him and he turns on the light revealing a huge, spacious room. There is a king size bed in the middle with a headboard and bedside tables carved out of pure wood. It also has a huge screen here and a small sitting room to one side. The walls also have some photographs hanging on them and what surprises me most is the painting of his constellation that I gave him for Christmas.

"I didn't think I'd see this here," I point to the painting still amazed to see it in his room.

"It was the best present anyone could have given me," he replies, looking at the painting.

It makes my heart melt. I look up at the huge sliding window of pure glass on the left side of the room, it covers the entire wall and you can see the beautiful garden and the lake in the distance, all properly lit. Surely a view anyone would love to wake up to.

"Come," he says, taking my hand. He opens a glass door next to the window and we step out onto the terrace. Simon guides me to a rather spacious sofa that sits there and we sit down. "I always look at this view when I talk to you at night," he lets me know.
