Jennifer recovered quickly from her injuries, as did Lennox.

It was a bit of a chore to recount to everyone what exactly had happened over the last month, and Jennifer was scolded soundly by Evelyn who wished Jennifer had felt comfortable enough to have confided any of her past to her. Had Evelyn known about Jennifer's having been mated to Luther, she felt she would have been far more sympathetic over the years, but she realized that was her own fault for not having tried harder to reach out.

Jennifer and Lennox completed the mate bond soon after their fight with William at the Blood Moon pack, and the connection they had increased significantly. Their connection was unlike anything any werewolves had ever seen, especially considering that Lennox was only a human. What was even more fascinating was that he continued to grow stronger every day. He was still completely human, but he was far more capable than other human alive.

It didn't take long before the members of the Blood Moon pack were requesting that Jennifer and Lennox become their Alpha. Individually, they were each strong, but together they were just as strong as many other Alphas and even stronger than many. Together, they made a formidable pair, just any other pack would require from an Alpha and a Luna.

It took some time for Lennox to adjust to his new-found role in life, and learning about werewolves and how they live. But it didn't take long for him to earn the trust and respect of the pack, even though he wasn't a wolf. His devotion to their kind, and especially to Jennifer, showed them that he would be a great leader for them, alongside of Jennifer.

Jennifer stepped into her position as leader of the Black Shadows pack with intense commitment. She knew this was her place. The Moon Goddess had positioned her to lead them so many years ago, and even though Luther had rejected her, and it took years to happen, she grew into the very woman she needed to become and was granted a 2nd Chance Mate, however Unlikely, who helped shape her to step into the role as their leader, as the Moon Goddess had originally intended.
