Chapter 4: The Kishinuma siblings

Ruka flinched as she heard a scream echo through the halls. She and her siblings had been kept safe in a room, but who knows how long it would keep them safe.

" Did you guys hear that?" Ruka asked. Her twin, Ryu, frowned at her and crossed his arms. " Are you screwing with us Ruka? If so, it's not funny." He looked down at his younger sister, who was shaking in the corner. " You're making Hana scared."

" I'm not making this up," Ruka snapped. " I really heard someone. Do you think Mom and Dad are okay?" Ryu shrugged. He didn't want to tell his younger twin something and end up making her worry. It was best to not answer her at all.
He adverted his attention back to Hana. Her bright blues eyes were widened with fear." We need to find them fast," he muttered to himself.

Ruka walked over and comforted Hana. " Don't worry," she whispered. " We're gonna find them soon." Hana nodded.

" I'll look for them," Ryu told Ruka.
" You can't leave by yourself," she said. " You would just end up hurting yourself. Besides that, I feel that something isn't right in this place."
Ryu turned his attention to Ruka. " What do you mean? Are your spiritual senses working right now?" he asked. Ruka sighed.

" Don't call it that and yes," she responded. Ryu smirked and rolled his eyes. He liked to bother his twin sometimes. It was funny when she would get pissed at him because of the little things that he says.

" Anyway, how are we gonna find the others?" he asked her, with his voice stern. " They must have scattered since we didn't fall in the same place." Ruka nodded. It would be a risk to leave the room and find the others. Especially since she sensed uncomfortable energy in the school. It already made her sick to her stomach.

" Let's go," she said. Hana looked up at her sister quickly with her eyes widening more. Ryu noticed and put his hand on her shoulder. " Don't worry," he told her. " We're here to protect you." She wanted to respond to him, but all only her teeth chattered.

Ryu picked up Hana and put her on his back. " It would be much easier if you walked," he muttered. Ruka heard him and slapped his head. He cursed under his breath and walked. Ruka slowly opened the door and walked out.

" It's cold," she said. Ryu scoffed. " Quit being a baby," he said. Ruka glared at her brother and continued to walk. He was rude whenever she complained about something.

The three of them avoided the holes, trying not to fall into another place. " I hope the others are okay," Hana muttered, as she dug her fingernails into her brother's sweater.

" You're right," Ryu said. " Also, Nagisa, Mom, Dad, and Aunt Miki are in this place. I don't want to be in this place any longer. Also, where the hell are you taking us Ruka? Did you here Anna or something?"

She nodded. " Anna, but she sounded like she was in trouble." Ryu frowned. He didn't have the same abilities as his sister and his mother.

" It would have been better if I had those powers," he thought.

Later on, the three of them rested against the broken wall. " What is this place anyway?" Ryu asked. Ruka shrugged. " An abandoned school," she answered. She looked down the misty hall. " I hardly remember what happened."
Ruka sighed and brought her knees to her chest. " I wonder if everyone is okay." Ryu sighed and grabbed his hair. " Damn, if you heard Anna, then something must have happened--but we haven't seen them at all." 

" We're-ones-here," Hana muttered. 
" Hana, what did you say?" Ryu asked. 

" We're the only ones here," she said clearer. " No one else is in here." Ruka frowned at her younger sister. " There are here," she argued. " I heard Anna clearly!" 

Hana faced her sister with a frown on her face. " No. one. is. here!" she yelled. Before the two girls could argue anymore, Ryu stood up and stretched. 

" Alright, one says yes and the other says no. How about we do a search, shall we?" Hana glared at her brother before getting up and running away. 

" Wait! Hana!" Ryu called. 
" You can't be in this place by yourself!" Ruka added. 

Both Ruka and Ryu sprinted to try and catch up with her, but they couldn't find her in the long hallway.

It's been a long time since I updated this story, but I would be publishing more stories more. The characters that are deceased now is, Setsuko and Kotone. More will be determined.
