Chapter 4

Hazel and I ate right after we did our shopping then she got a text from Alexander.

"Uhmm Sam, Im so sorry but I got to go" She said

"Oh, umm no worries! Dont forget about the party later" I reminded her

"Yeah of course, bye!"

"Bye!"

Then she went off. My friends changed when they had their boyfriends. I mean one text away they would be like "I gotta go" or "Im sorry" to me. Before, we were not like that. We would spend the rest of the day together. Eat Ice cream or Cake, Talk, and Laugh but now I dont know.. You judge.

Im all alone eating in this restaurant with no one to speak to. #LonerHere..
Then I see this couple passing by, holding hands and laughing together.
I was like "Wow okay! you dont need to rub it in my face buddy!!"

I didnt know I was saying that aloud, everyone was looking at me and then I was all, "Nothing to look at here people!"

Oh Geez what is wrong with me. Is it because im jealous? Of course you're not Sam I mean not having a boyfriend rules. You know no problems, no crying, no nothing. Aint that the truth! hahaha

I was disturbed from my thoughts when the waiter cleared his throat and handed me the check, he was looking at me confused.

"What?" I said looking at him straight in the eyes.

I then realize I was talking to myself yet again.

"Oh hehe you'll get used to it" I said  waving it off and handing him the check back.

"Oh and keep the change!"

I sighed went up then went home.

HOME..

"Mom, Dad Im here!" I said as I arrived

"Whattup Dad!" I said high fiving my father. Thats how we roll.

"Good, good" he answered

"Mom here's the dress"

I showed mom the dress and she only said "Hazel again right?"

"Yep!"
When Hazel shops, she really shops.
Once she sees something good and she likes it on you. You can never say no to her.

"Figures because you never wear dresses like that"

"Uhm mom excuse me. I just have a different style that's all"

"Okay Missie! Now go get ready."

"K!"

I went to my room and looked at the dress it was the type of dress that you rarely might see me wear  but Hazel thinks I look good in it, So I took it. Cant Say No to Hazel..

So I hot ready I cleaned up, wore the dress, put some shoes on * you know the one with heels*, did my hair and put a little make up on.

Ok I think this is good.

I went downstairs and everything was all set. My mom's an organizer of events so whenever there's an event she's the first person you can call. She's pretty good at it, I'll give you that.

Mom told me how beautiful I looked. I thanked her and said it back to her as well. She looked so stunning.
Ohh and My Dad in a Tux. Both of them looked good tonight.

Some of the guests started to arrive. I greeted them like a good host should do then I texted the girls and asked where they are.

As I was texting, well I was texting while walking I stepped on someones foot.

"Oh I am so so sorry. I'll give you an advice never text while walking haha" I laughed and looked up at him.

"Samantha?!"

Who is this guy? haha

"Uhmm Ohh hey!!... Uhh..Who are you again?"

"Its me Brian! Brian Sanders!"

"Ohhh.............. Oh my Gosh Brian! (late reaction much) look at you all grown up hahaha" I hugged him, he hugged me back

"How are you?!" I asked

"Good and you?"

"Im doing well" I replied

"Good.. good" he said to me

And then AWKWARD SILENCE..

I was whistling and looking at other people and he was pretty much doing the same thing. Oh come on! Who would'nt feel awkward I mean I havent seen him for 7 years..

I decided to speak up. But then... You might have see this in movies when the girl talks the guy talks you know at the same time then they keep pointing out that "You go first" and the other says "No you go first" thats  what happened to us.

When he said "No you go first"
I just grabbed that opportunity and told him that I should be, uhhm you know get going because there are a lot of guests arriving... and uhmm yeahh..  thats about it.

"Oh of course, I'll see you around" he said

" Yeah right back at you and oh welcome to the neighborhood"

"Thanks!"

"Ohhh...umm okay I... umm better get going..."

Whoops! Then I tripped. I fell on the floor and everyone was looking at me and the music stopped. Well this is AWKWARD.

I stood up then said "Its okay people! its okay! Im fine! Im fine!" I said to everyone watching they seem to not care though, wow. I was trying to not lose my balance again.

"Its just the heels you know whooow.." I looked at Brian chuckled nervously and went on my way.

Classic Sam..
