Taming the Bad Boy

Chapter 7

I walked around the school going to my final class. It was the day before Christmas break. Most of my classes weren't busy luckily.

"Hey." Quinn said walking up next to me

"Hey." I said

"What are you doing after school?"

"Packing."

"Oh." He said "I forgot."

"Yeah we're leaving tomorrow morning to go." I said

He intertwined hands with me "How long will you be gone?"

"Until New Years." I said

He sighed again.

"River get up we're leaving in a hour." My mom said

I groaned and got up. Quickly I got in the shower and changed. When I was done I had 15 minutes to eat. I quickly ran down stairs.

I grabbed a yogurt and quickly ate it.

"You ready?" My dad asked

I shook my head, threw my yogurt away and went out the door.

"Oh my! River you're so big." My grandma said hugging me

"I know." I laughed hugging her back

"Ok go to you're room you know we're it is." she said shooing me away

I laughed and walked on up to my room were I usually stayed. When I got up there I heard rustling. I opened the door surprised to see Sam. My grandmas best friends, grandson. He was the same age as me.

"River!" He said

He walked over to me and rapped me up in a big hug.

"It's been to long Sam." I said hugging him back

"Yeah since camp freshman year." He laughed

I pulled away and looked at him. He was much stronger that he was when we were freshman's. His blond hair was still as curly and messy as always.

"What have you been up to?" He asked

I shrugged "School mostly. You?"

"Same." He said

I smiled and started to un pack my things.
