Chapter one - What came to be"What's your name?"
"Lexa..."
"Last name?"
The sound of a pen being used echoed through the silent room.
"I don't remember."
The woman who was writing stopped and looked up from her notes. Her hair fell around the glasses she wore as her hair was tied into a messy bun. The crystal blue eyes stared into Lexa. They looked like mother and daughter.
"Lexa, what do you remember about the explosion?" The woman asked. Lexa's eyes lowered to the woman's name tag. "Dr. Taki, I don't remember much. I just remember seeing blue and a girl." Lexa spoke. This caught the doctors attention. "Can you describe the girl?" She asked as she stopped writing and looked up to Lexa.
Lexa closed her eyes and thought to the memory of the girl. Lexa thought that the flashes of blue were because of the blue light but now that she thought about it...it was the girls hair. "She had blue hair." Lexa answered. The doctor looked up from her book. "Draw her." She told Lexa as she tore a paper out and handed her a pencil.
Lexa blinked before taking the pencil and paper. Her eyes closed before picturing the smile on the girls face. More memories started coming back. They were in the a trashy place but they were laughing about something Lexa did. They stopped and stared at each other before smiling.
Lexa didn't know it but she started drawing the girl from her memories. "Do you remember her name?" The doctor asked. Lexa stopped drawing before looking at the girls face she was drawing. "No." Her answer was short. The doctor lost a bit of hope but it wasn't completely gone because at least Lexa knew her own name and she remembered someone.
"Listen, I need you to start coming to your appointments so we can figure out where your family is." Doctor Taki said. Lexa rolled her eyes before slouching in her chair. Her pencil lightly shaded the girls eyes. "I don't want to. Every time I leave I can feel the stares of all the other patients when I come out of the psych wing." Lexa admitted. Doctor Taki never understood her but she believed she didn't like being looked down on for a good reason.
"Then let's start meeting up in your room. How's that?" Lexa's eyes lit up before nodding. "Sure!" She chirped. Doctor Taki smiled and got up before opening the door. "Go on. It's almost dinner time so be back in your room before 6." She told the young girl. Lexa got up and quickly left the room mumbling 'goodbye'.
Doctor Taki turned around to see the drawing she left behind but it wasn't anywhere to be found. "Hey, where did you-" She turned around and Lexa was gone. The doctor sigh before adjusting her glasses and her coat.

"What's your name?"
Lexa's blue eyes stared at the drawing for an answer. She narrowed her eyes before smiling. "I know what I'm gonna call you. I'm gonna call you Powder." Lexa whispered. She looked around and found a pen.
"I'm going to try my best to remember you. I swear I will."
