There was a song stuck in Lexa's head. "Dear friend, across the river, my hands are cold and bare. Dear friend, across the river, I will take what you can spare." She hummed. "What are you humming?" The doctor asked her. Lexa looked up from her drawing.

"I dunno." Her reply was short. The doctor shifted in her seat before adjusting her glasses. "What's the girls name?" She asked while motioning to the drawing Lexa had made. "I call her Powder." She replied. The doctor froze for a bit before nodding slowly.

"Tell me about Powder." The doctor asked. Lexa sat up in her hospital bed. "She's nice and kind. She laughs at the dumbest things and she is somewhat short tempered. She also likes sweets but not the expensive kind. She also likes playing games and causing trouble for others." Lexa told her while shading in Powders eyes.

"Is that the same person behind her? An older version of Powder?" The doctor asked Lexa. She shook her head in response. "No, that's someone else but older Powder." The doctors eyebrows furrowed before nodding and pretending to understand.

"What about the drawings of yourself?" The question made Lexa freeze a bit before flipping through the pages of her sketchbook. She stopped at a drawing of herself and she gave it to the doctor. "Did you spend hours in front of a mirror?" The doctor joked about the girls precision in drawing herself.

"Yes."

The doctor quickly stopped laughing and focused on her hair. "Your hair got darker." She stated. Lexa looked up from picking at her fingernails and registered what she said. "It did?" She asked while slowly getting up. Her legs quickly guided her to the bathroom mirror and she touched her dark blonde hair.

"It's probably because you went outside yesterday. Your freckles are more noticeable too." The doctor said appearing behind her. Lexa stopped and stared at herself in the mirror. She noticed her freckles were more noticeable and the blonde hair was now a darker shade. "We look alike." Lexa stated while holding eye contact with the doctor through the mirror.

The doctor nodded and looked away first. This didn't go unnoticed by Lexa. "What are you hiding." The tone of her voice wasn't questioning but demanding. She didn't ask her to tell her she demanded her to tell her.

"Doctor Taki- Doctor Taki?" Lexa asked shaking her. The doctor blinked and snapped out of it. She noticed that they were outside of the bathroom. "Are you okay?" Lexa asked her worried. I must have imagined it. The doctor thought while walking to the door. "I will come by later for your appointment." The doctor said before leaving.

Her change of mood didn't go unnoticed. She was sweating and seemed worried. Lexa noticed this. A small smile lingered on her face as she sat back down and opened her sketchbook. She chuckled before shading in Powders clothes.

"Let's see how long it takes for you to crack, mother."
