Romana was 16 and Virgil was 19 in 1983. Romana comes to say she is pregnant, she is 4 weeks along. Virgil decided to do the right thing and marry her. So, within a week they married a small wedding. No one approved of their decision to marry young or have a child out of wedlock. A month before the delivery of birth Romana and Virgil were infected with Cholera. So, Virgil rushes to the hospital not knowing if it can affect the unborn child. So, he rushes to the hospital with a few seconds to spare as he started lethargic and tired all of the sudden and if he drove any longer they would have crashed for sure. So, they walk into the hospital and explain the situation. Dr. Vlad was in and took them immediately. By the time both have gone to the backroom, they went unconscious, and Vlad knew that she was pregnant because Virgil told them when they arrived. So, he shifted his concern to her and her unborn child. He has to make a decision to save this woman with his own blood, in hopes that it helps her survive. Knowing he is a vampire he has been around and seen all the diseases so hopes his blood will combat the infection. So, he has drawn his blood and put it into her veins in hopes to save her. She comes to very groggily and calls for her husband Virgil, she sees him across on the medical bed and calls him again.
Dr. Vlad tells her that he is coding and needs permission to give him a blood transfusion. To which she groggily agrees to anything to save the love of her life. So, they both survive the blood transfusion, but Dr. Vlad tells them that he recommends that they give birth to her child, because of cholera it has a chance of producing a stillborn child. Scared for the life of her child she agrees to get prepped for birth. Dr. Vlad gets situated and begins the childbirth, as she pushes she produced a baby girl, and when they all thought they finished another baby popped out and it was also a girl. This was unheard of to see a set of babies being produced so Dr. Vlad was very shocked and so were the parents. They decided to name the girls Valenthia and Viktoria. Valenthia is a couple of minutes older than Viktoria. They were born with Brown hair and Brown eyes.
When the girls are 13 years old Valenthia and Viktoria come home from school, Viktoria goes to do her homework at the table, Valenthia is enraged from her day at school as she came a home an hour later from detention. She decided to take her anger out on the only available victim which happens to be 13-year-old Viktoria minding her business doing her homework. So Valenthia comes in and starts to beat Viktoria and scratches her to the point of her bleeding badly, a few minutes later her parents get home from work to find Viktoria on the floor. Her mom rushes to her aid only to have Valenthia claw her face producing minimum blood due to her being alive with awakened vampiric blood. They rushed Viktoria to the hospital to see Dr. Vlad and he examines her and says she will survive but she and her mom will have a scar for life. Viktoria in return was scarred both physically and mentally over this incident. Powerless to change the past, she now works fitting in with society trying to be human. By doing so, she hopes to support a new, honest life and finally find pleasureful life she has never had.
Valenthia has a sit down with the family, to find out why she did that. She expressed that she has been having dark thoughts about blood, and when she is enraged those thoughts come to the surface and she sees red. So, she explains that Viktoria was the easy prey and she lashed out. She said that she wouldn't have stopped if they didn't show up. Viktoria from then on has fallen to any and all outburst of Valenthia...
