Lee Felix was nodding along to the relaxing song playing in his earbuds, pedaling his way through the streets of Seoul. The patisserie he'd managed to land a full-time job with had a fairly large order and he'd been tasked with delivering the box of profiteroles, macarons, and a fraisier cake, 2 iced Americanos in the basket sloshing in their cups as he rode. It was a beautiful, spring day and Felix loved taking his time on deliveries like this, breathing in the cool, fresh air. The patisserie smelled incredible, but Felix was mostly blind to it, by now. He looked around as he made his way to the address on the order form, coming to a large production building in the middle of the city. He pushed his bike to the rack, gingerly lifting the large, designer paper bag of treats from the basket, the drinks in their own to-go box.
The building was large and busy, but strangely, Felix found no one at the front desk. He peered around the corner looking for anyone who looked official, perplexed. A younger man in an expensive, black coat headed up the staircase, stopping and cocking his head, looking Felix over. "Delivery?" he asked, Felix whipping around to see another fox-faced man standing over him. "A-ah, yes," he replied. "For a 'Christopher Bang'?" The man smiled, motioning with his chin up the staircase. "Here, follow me," he insisted.
Felix climbed up the staircase after him, an invigorating, fresh scent wafting behind the man as he walked. "Your perfume is beautiful," he remarked.
"Oh, thank you, it's custom!" The man looked back and smiled at Felix. They made their way through hallways of meeting rooms with glass walls, large rooms that appeared to be dance studios, and small rooms with numbers on the doors, bass thumping from behind them. They came to room 325, the man knocking a specific tune Felix wasn't familiar with but was definitely deliberate. They waited only a short while before a beautiful man with hair down to his chin pulled back into a half ponytail answered. "Ah, Jeonginnie," he said, smiling coyly. He looked familiar, Felix thought.
"Hey, hyung, you have a delivery, looks like pastries," Jeongin said, pointing to Felix. The beautiful man looked over at Felix and cocked an eyebrow. "Is it addressed to me, this time?" Jeongin laughed.
"For a Christopher Bang?" Felix inquired. The man rolled his eyes as another man rushed to the door. "Hm? For me?" he asked, his face and build like that of a Grecian statue. The long-haired man sighed, shaking his head. Jeongin smiled at Felix. "Hyunjinnie's fans know if they address anything to him, it won't be sent up, so they address it to his producer, instead." Christopher grinned, pointing his thumbs at himself. "Call me Bangchan--er... just Chan," he insisted.
"Ah," Felix nodded, handing the two men the large bag and drinks, suddenly realizing who 'Hyunjinnie' was. Hwang Hyunjin, the famous idol known for his creativity and sex appeal. Felix had seen his fans lining up for fan-held events at the patisserie, before. They were quite overzealous, so it wasn't a wonder why the company had stopped receiving anything for him in a long while.
"You know, for a moment, Jeonginnie, I thought you were bringing us a new trainee," Hyunjin remarked, placing the bag on a short, black table in front of a couch Felix could see beyond the doorway. He blushed as Jeongin replied. "That's what I thought he might be, at first, but then I saw the bag and coffee." The freckled Aussie felt awkward. He knew he was pretty, especially for a man, but he'd never thought of himself as idol-worthy. He didn't have the ego for that.
"Do you guys want to come in and share some of this with us?" Chan cheerily invited the pair inside the studio room. "Yeah," Hyunjin said, looking Felix up and down, "you must be tired bringing us this big bag of goodies, hm? Why don't you sit down and have one with us?" Felix could tell this man was used to getting whatever he wanted because the look on his face when Felix declined felt venomous. "I really need to get back," Felix insisted. Jeongin nodded. "I'll be back for some after I see him out, hm?" Hyunjin exhaled, heading back to the couch, Chan rushing to the door to thank Felix with a bow. Felix bowed back as Jeongin led him back to the building entrance. "Feel free to swing by, anytime," he sang, the two bowing to each other as Felix did his best not to look like he was running away. He sighed as he retrieved his bike, heading back to the patisserie in time for the evening rush.
"You were gone a while," Jisung remarked, smiling at his coworker. "Was it too long?" Felix asked, worriedly. Jisung shook his head. "No," he assured the winded man. "Why don't you drink something and cool off before you get back to work? I've got this, for now." Felix nodded, making himself an iced water and sitting in the back for a moment. He curiously opened his phone to check Hwang Hyunjin's Instagram, a new post with the pastries and a selca eating a macaron thanking his fans and mentioning a "cute delivery boy" making him blush. He quickly pressed the power button and shoved his phone back into his pocket, closing his eyes and relaxing the rest of his break.
