Y/N waddles through the small house as she giggles to herself. You were gonna hide!
Toriel had said you and her were going to visit a skeleton friend she calls "Sans" today.

You've never met this skeleton, but she always said that one day you and her would visit him and his brother.
Toriel had told you this when you were big, so naturally you were excited to meet Toriel's friends. But little you on the other hand.. was very scared of skeletons!!
It must have been the scary movie Undyne had sent for you and Toriel to watch.
Despite this, today was going to be the day that you met the two.
"Babygirl! Please let me get you dressed!"
You could hear her shout across the hall. You quickly ran to her bedroom and hopped into her large and comfortable bed, and went underneath the fluffy covers!
"She'll never find me here!"
You giggled to yourself, you were one clever cookie! You could now hear the footsteps of Toriel entering the room. "Uh oh.."

"Y/N, princess.. Please let me get you ready, sweetheart. We have to leave here in 15 minutes!"

No! You couldn't let her find you! If she does then she'll bring you to the scary people!

You can hear her sigh,
"Darling please, this is no time to play hide and seek. We must get dressed."
She gently lifts the covers of of you.
'DANGIT.'

"Nwoo.."
You whine, Toriel chuckles at you, making you pout angrily right afterward.
She picks you up for a moment before setting you back on the bed in a sitting position, you cross your arms and look away from her.
"Okay baby, what would you like to wear, hm? I have your favorite sweater, or perhaps your favorite pair of overalls?"

..You still weren't looking at her-

She frowned, and sat on the bed next to you.
"Why are you so fussy darling? Do you not want to see your new friends?"

You shook your head rapidly, Toriel kinda made a "Oh- Jeez.." kind of face.
"Oh dearest.. I promise you they aren't what they seem. They're the friendliest skeletons I've ever talked to. And im sure you'll get to love them as much as I do, too."

..

"Thwey won't twake my bwones away, right?"
Y/N innocently looked up to Toriel, it made her at a loss for words.

'Does she really think that's what skeletons do..? ..She's too sweet.'
Toriel was holding the urge to laugh, I mean you were just to darn cute! But she held herself together for your sake.
She smiled at Y/N warmly,
"No darling, skeletons do not take your bones. I wouldn't allow them to do such a thing to my precious baby girl!"
She hugged you tightly, "Maammaaa!" You squealed, her hugs were so warm and tight! You loved everything about them!
She gave you one last smooch on your forehead then got of the bed, "Now, let's get your clothes on, shall we baby?"

You nodded before jumping out of the bed yourself. Y/N for a 3 year old headspace was pretty independent, she liked to do things by herself. But she didn't mind of Toriel helped once in awhile.
"Mhm! I wanna wear mwy overalls!"

~TimeSkip~

"You look so beautiful, princess."
Toriel cooed as she brushed your soft, (H/T) hair.. ever so gently, making sure not to hurt you at all in the process.
"Do you want your hair in a bun, down, or do you want to wear your hat?"

"(H/T) please!"

She nodded, and did as you asked.

"Now, let's get going sweet baby."
She stood up, and held out her hand. Smiling at her you took it happily, despite not being too happy about meeting these new friends.. it was scary getting to know new people! But you were filled with DETERMINATION to conquer your fear, and make new friends.

You and her walked downstairs. Once there you both walked the dreadfully long hallway that was down there. Toriel would NEVER let you down here unless she was with you, she would always scold you if you did.

After many many steps, you two made it to the door..
You could hear Toriel's shaky breaths as she went to open the door, you knew this was hard for your mama, so you went to go hug her..
'Sometimes this door can be scary for mama, I will protect her though!'
You thought.

Toriel patted your head, then held tight to your hand before opening the door at last..

And king behold was a place that to you seemed liked a Winter wonderland. You and Toriel had been living in the ruins for a very, very long time. So seeing new scenery was so refreshing to your toddler mindset!
"MWAMA! C-CWAN WE MAKE A SNOWMWAN??"
You shouted, bouncing up and down with excitement!

She giggled,
"Maybe later darling, for now, let's go meet your new friends."

~TimeSkip~

"Papyrus, Sans, this is Y/N. I've talked about her a few times before, I believe. You remember her don't you?"
You could hear Toriel speak despite being buried in her dress, you were still scared to show your face to these new people.. they could steal your bones and you didn't want that!

"Ah yes! I do remember little Y/N! ... But why won't she show her face?"
You heard one ask, they seemed very energetic.

"Relax bro, they're probably shy."
This one sounded more calm, and had a deeper voice then the other one.

You could feel Toriel pat your head softly,
"Why don't you say hello, baby? They'd love to meet and get to know you."

...

Mama was right.
Her friends wouldn't take your bones.. she wouldn't let them right?!

So taking a deep breath, you revealed your face.. and saw two skeletons, one bigger, one smaller, one with a hoodie, one with a what seemed to be a costume.

"Hello lady Y/N! I'm Papyrus! I'm so happy to finally meet you!"

"Heya kiddo, I'm Sans, Sans the Skeleton."
