"Hey birdie!" Error 404, we recognise him. Why was he there?

The winged skeleton smiles at him, "ah, glitchy!" Maybe they have code names, or nicknames for eachother.

Error 404 gives a strained smile. No insults, they give insults to eachother. "Just checking on you, now that you've been given more access to this multiverse."

"Yes~ Thanks for that! Wouldn't catch Blueberry if not." The other jumps like an excited child, Error 404 sighed quietly.

He nods, "well carry on then, once you get Blue out of my universe then go away! You're going to ruin this one aswell."

"Aww, don't you want to have us around?" The bird questions, walking up to Error 404.

Error 404 grimaces at the bird, "no, just get him then you can leave."

With that, he left.

"H-he."

"He... l-lied to me."

"HE LIED TO ME-E-e." His voice cracked at the end, his body jointing as purple tears streamed his face.

"You said you were gonna help! YOU SAID YOU COULD SAVE ME!" He fell to his knees, his fluffy hood falling over his head.

"YOU SAID I COULD HAVE MY UNIVERSE BACK!"

"BACKSTABBER!"

He yelled. He couldn't stop, it wasn't Ink's fault for not having the right magic. But... he could've cleared it up, he could've said. He should have said!

"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" Cross yelled, his magic flaring up and aiming towards something.

There was a figure around him, that's what Chara had tried to attack. "Hm, you're very strong."

"You should look around, still oblivious." Chara says, a disappointed tone between the bored words said to Cross.

The person walks up to Cross, "you want your universe back." They stand just before Cross. "If you want some help, I could give you access to some universes."

Cross stares at them, hands limply hung between his legs and tears falling down his cheek while stinging his scar. "H-how do I... know you can..."

"Don't trust him, he'll just use you." Chara was smart, they knew what to do. All Cross had to do was agree with him.

The dark figure sits down, "I know what's going on, it's okay. I can get you home but you'll have to do something for me."

"I-I..." Cross glanced at the white space, unsure on whether the person was real. "You're going to... to-o." Cross couldn't say anything, "yo-you're going to u-u-u... use me."

The figure sighed, "I'll come back later." With that they disappeared in a cloud of purple smoke, a blurry crown showing before dissipating as quickly as it appeared.
