"Bill!"
Her yell came from inside, the elder demon looking up from where he'd been attempting to get Dipper to cooperate with him.
"Yes star?"
She paused, looking between him and the exhausted Dipper who looked up at her before giving a thumbs up. Green eyes moved from the ground and to her before she grinned.
"I'll take it the training is going well?"
Bill rolled his eyes.
"Yeah but he's certainly not as fast a learner as you were."
"Look, im trying its just hard."
"No it's not, you're just old."
"Says the literal eons old demon."
"That is not the point here."
"It so is-"
"Could you please not argue? We dont know how long it'll be before Cato tries something, we need to be prepared."
Mabel sighed, rolling her eyes as both men groaned but agreed.
Dipper straightened up, rubbing his face before snapping a hand. Purple flames exploded around it, making him shriek and wave it out of existence once more.
"Its just hard trying to figure out how to control the flames."
"Okay we'll go over it again."
Mabel turned away, leaving them to it as she headed back inside before going straight through the kitchen.
Nothing she could think of let her figure out what Cato was planning, rubbing her face as she punched in the code to the vending machine before it swing open once more.
Then she was headed down the stairs, boots clomping on each step as she made her way to Pacifica.
"Heyo girl! How ya holding up down here?"
"Stressed. Ford didnt seem to have a lot on the cult, its as if they kept themselves hidden from everyone. Even better than the mind wiping cult."
She chuckled, looking over the pages before swiping up a couple and holding them out.
"This your guy though?"
Mabel took a seat, taking the page and looking at the drawn demon before nodding.
"That's him."
The green eyes were all that were colored, pencil used to get the gray-silver hair and the suit plain to show its stark white color.
The hair while neatly combed was different but then again this picture had to be older than she was.
"Why does he want me so badly is what i wanna know."
Mabel sighed, giving the picture back as Pacifica swiped up another page.
"Didnt you say something about him being Mabeline's old fiance?"
"Yeah?"
"He's probably pissed she ran away. Decided to snatch her back only to find her gone."
"She didnt even wanna be with him. She didnt hate him but she didnt know him. She couldnt trust him."
"He seems loony."
That got Mabel to laugh, making Pacifica crack a smile as she laid pages together before handing her another.
"That look like your spell?"
Taking the paper her eyes scanned over the written words, hmphing softly before catching on a phrase.
"May no one place claim."
It rung through her head, making her groan and give it a shake.
"Yeah thats it. See if you can find any more with things that look like spells. If we can find anything related to a possible plan we can counter him more easily."
She hated this, rubbing her face as a heavy sigh left her lungs before she stood.
"Okay, im gonna-"
Her sentence cut off, frozen as her mouth opened but no words came out.
"Mabel? You good?"
Pacifica looked up from the page, confused but Mabel couldnt see it, she couldnt move before her feet began moving, heading up the stairs and forcing her forward.
Now Pacifica was scrambling, hollering for Bill and Dipper as she followed Mabel out of the vending machine.
"Something's wrong-!"
One of Mabel's hands swung out, connecting with her face and sending her stumbling backward. Then a hand shoved her back straight down the stairs before the entrance swung shut once more.
And it was silent, neither Bill nor Dipper had heard Pacifica's yells, Mabel heading through the home in her eery silence before she stopped at a window to stare.
She watched as Dipper was engulfed in deep purple flames, the amount ever so slowly diminishing until it was just on his hands.
A big smile spread on his face before he yelled, throwing both hands in the air and slapping Bill a high five.
"He's getting a hang of them. This isn't good. But no matter. Three demons? Thats exactly what i need."
Mabel took a step back from the window, flopping back in Stan's chair before a wide smile crossed her face.
Her sky blue eyes flashed a deep red, green swirling in before they closed as she leaned back."Is the portal finished? Im tired of waiting."
Cato blinked, moving from where he'd been staring through Mabels eyes and towards the little ribboned demon Orion.
"I-I believe it almost is! They wont tell us. The leader though! They said they know how to separate them from her and then you can have her!"
Orion clapped his hands, tail swaying as he wrung them together before Cato sighed.
"If only it were that easy. Im sure we can figure it out. Soon I'll have her back. And Bill will be dead. I'll have to deal with her brother in some other way."
He leaned on the arm of his chair, gaze locking on the flames in the fireplace before waving a hand at Orion.
"Give him the go ahead. But remind him, if one hair on her head is harmed I'll be removing his entire head instead."
The tiny demon gave a squeak, nodding frantically before he was scrambling out of the room. His tail waved behind him as he hurried down the hall and only skidded to a stop by his brother when the other threw out a hand.
"What did the master say?"
"He's giving the go ahead! If they succeed then he'll have her by the end of the day!"
"Oh this is glorious news! He'll be so happy! Quickly! Let us go tell them!"
Then they were both bolting down the hallway, movements near in sync as they mumbled between themselves in excitement until they reached the room.
Shoving the door open they once more skidded to a halt.
Three men sat on the floor, forming a triangle with theyre crossed legs formation and meditating.
At the sound of the door open though one peeked an eye open, looking to them before all three gazes were on them.
"And how may we help you."
Orion took a breath, glancing to Maphis who nodded, then he spoke.
"You have the masters permission to go through with your plan. But he says if even a single hair is harmed you will lose your head."
There were a few murmurs between them before each nodded and smoothly moved to their feet.
"Then we will begin."
Orion nodded, Maphis tugging on his hand before they were rushing out the door once more, gone down the hall as all three cult members stood there. For a moment none moved, the air rippling as mumbling rose. The air cracked, a singular symbol forming in the air before it stretched into a large opening straight into the forest.
A triangle with an eye in the center that watched them before it closed behind them once more.
A Cipher portal.
