8am

I've been here for 10 minutes now, waiting for my friend, which is weird because usually I'm the one who's late and not the one who is ahead. Classes are about to start in about 5 minutes, and we are not even in the building. This is our first day at uni, and guess who's going to be late the first day?

I Finally decide to text her.

Y/F/N WHERE THE H*LL EVEN ARE YOU?

We're going to be late???!

You remember we have classes right?

Please y/f/n you starting to freak me out

I'm seriously starting to worry about her, we live in New York City so anything can happen... Suddenly, I feel a hand tapping my shoulder gently from behind, which allows me to get out of my thoughts. I turn around and find myself face to face with my friend. She looks okay?

"What? I know I'm kinda attractive but it's not good to stare" she said sarcastically, as if she didn't make me wait for 10 minutes.

"What happened to you? We're so late now!" I groan as I start walking towards the building.

We lead to class and find two seats in the back of the class, everybody is looking at us, I try to avoid their gazes or I know my anxiety will hit me straight in the face once again.

We sit for a while, not saying anything until I look at y/f/n, she looks back at me.

"Why did you avoid my texts? You know I was really worried about you."

"I didn't. I told you I missed the bus so I had to walk. Stop worrying I'm fine y/n"

"But who did I text if it wasn't you? I asked frowning at my eyebrows.

We are cut by the professor entering the class, therefore we stop talking.

The hours pass and the end of the day arrives quickly. I lead back home. I live in a small apartment not too far from the university. I moved here from my parents during the summer to be closer to my studies. I used to live in the suburbs but I like it better here, y/f/n and I both decided to go to the same universitie so that we'll never be alone. We're friends since highschool so we are like sisters now.

It's starting to get dark and I feel my eyes getting heavier by the minute, I leave my kitchen where I just had dinner and go to my bed. I put on my pjs, take off my makeup and wash my face a bit.

I'm lying in bed when I see my phone screen light up. I pick it up and see that it is a notification from a number that is not registered on my phone.

Who could that be?! (Wanda's quote everyone)

Sorry to disappoint you but I am not y/f/n

What? What does that mean.

I look up and see that I was the one who texted that number in the first place. I take a minute to think about it and realize that y/f/n told me she didn't get any texts from me this morning. I come to the conclusion that this is the person I texted by accident, thinking it was y/f/n. It makes more sense now...

Sorry I think I texted the wrong number

Oh you think?

uh...

So who are you?

I'm not telling you this.

Why not?

I'm not telling you this, that's it.

*you* changed this number to *not telling you this*

Are you kidding?

Absolutely not.

Ugh...

But who are you though?

Are you a kid or something 'cause you said you had classes.

What-no. You know that not only kids have classes right?

Anyways that's not the point,

if you're not telling me who you are,

then I don't know why I should tell you who I am.

Seems fair.

Right.

I would like to keep talking to this person, I don't know why though. I don't even know who that is. I want to continue the conversation but I really don't know what to say to them without making a fool of myself. I just want them to say something. I close my eyes for a moment when I hear the sound of an alarm that wakes me up a little. Damn it! Did I sleep all night? I look at the clock and see that the dial says 8:00. Shit.

After 5 minutes, I finally get out of bed. I get ready and decide to make pancakes with blueberries for breakfast. I turn on the TV and grab my phone when I remember the late night conversation with the stranger. I click on the conversation even though I know there is probably nothing changed from last night. But to my surprise, it does.

The text is from last night. If only I hadn't fallen asleep, I could have responded right away.

Can you at least tell me the first letter of your name?

I'm sorry I fell asleep...

It's *y/n's first letter*

Five minutes later, I get a text from the stranger. I don't know why I'm so excited about this...

Okay.

*not telling you this* changed your name to *your name's first letter*

Okay?

What?

You're not going to tell me yours?

N

*you* changed *not telling you this* to *N*
