Natasha's POV
"Tony what the fuck is wrong? Why is she not awake? Is it because of what you gave her? I thought you know what you were doing!" I shouted, my eyes full of anger and concern. I scan the room, looking for anything that could help even though I don't even know what's happening. I saw Tony approaching the bed and therefore I focused on his moves. I carefully join the opposite side of the bed. "I think she passed out hence the big amount of blood she has lost". He stated finally meeting my gaze.
"That's it? But it's not that bad? Right?" I furrowed my eyebrows while crossing my arms. He doesn't answer and go back to his screens.
"When she came in, she had a low amount of blood in her body, so I did injections to restore her to normal. Now her level has stabilized, which is a good thing..."
"But?" I asked him francky, afraid about what he was going to annouce.
"But, the shook made her fall into coma and I don't know how long it could last."
She was still awake when we entered, we could have try to maintain her awake...
"We could have prevented this Tony! Why didn't you think about this eventuallity sooner now we're not even sure she'll wake up! I can't believe you let this happens-" Tony doesn't let me finish my sentence and put a hand on my shoulder.
"I tried! I tried, Natasha, okay?" I sighed, lowering my eyes to hide the pain that was starting to be noticeable. I can't believe I finally met her, and now it's like she's already gone. I couldn't even get her to safety, she asked me for one thing, to get her to safety, and I couldn't even do that. I can't believe I failed, again.
My vision becomes blurry and I feel tears begging to be shown.
"It's getting late...so I'm going to go to bed because there's nothing more I can do right now. You should do the same." I nod and he doubtefuly leaves the room.
I walk over to the bed and take her hand in mine. I look at her. She's peacefully sleeping, lying on her back, still wearing the same white t-shirt she was wearing when I found her. I watch her features, from her arms to her y/h/c hair. I stare for a few more seconds and can't help but let a tear fall. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry."
I walk through the dark corridors of the coumpounds in direction of my room. I arrive to the living room where I recognize the voices of Wanda, Clint, Steve and Tony.
"So how's the girl?" Wanda muturred. "Honestely, her blood state is much better, even really good now. We only have to wait until she wakes up...if she does"
"I never heard about her and I don't feel like I've seen her before. Do we even know who she is?" Clint stated and everyone agreed.
"I don't know who she is but she must be someone important to Natasha if she apologies..." Tony confessed almost whispering his last words.
Suddenly every eyes went wilde, pure shock. "She what-?"Clint exclaimed. "Natasha apologies?" Steve shouted with a smirk on his face. "That's weird... That's suspicious..." Wanda added with a smile in the corner of her lips.
"YES I know rigth! I didn't get it at first but when I think about it, it might be because she wasn't able to save her without being injured."
I don't want to talk to them, knowing that they will obviously ask me about her, and why I apologized... I don't want them to think I'm weak. Thankfully they don't know that I cried or that it was the first time I met her, well... actually the second time.
Therefor, I avoid going through the living room and take a different route. I go into my room and put on clean clothes, these were still covered in blood. I lie down in my bed and think about everything that happened today. After a while I can barely fall asleep.
