Third Person Pov:Gabrielle's eyes began to sting as she skimmed the same words on the page that she had already read over a few times but still the thoughts of comprehending it was nowhere to be found.
Her backache and her arms were in pain from sitting in the same position got hours trying to finish the task that she needed to complete before her work shift was over but she was still unsure if her shift would ever end because she still had a stack of untouched folders sitting at the edge of her desk.
She sighed heavily sinking into her office chair hoping that they would ease the tension on her back but instead it made her backache more intense.
She then placed her body in an upwards position and rose from her office chair turning her body towards the windows to get another look at the view that always seemed to take her mind off overwhelming things at work.
However, darkness had taken over the city by surprise, and the only specs of light were streetlights, and cars passing in the distance.
Gabrielle's eyes grew in surprise as she glanced at the watch on her wrist that read 11:00 PM.
Yawning exhausted, she knew that her only option would be to take it home and pull an all-nighter to get it done by tomorrow.
She gathered the folders together and headed toward her office door which lead her to the empty and quiet halls of the building.
"Hey, you're still here?"Mr. Bieber asked emerging from his office door abruptly at the same time that she was leaving her office.
Gabrielle's eyes grew wider as she held the folders in her arms tightly. She hoped that he wouldn't notice any of it.
"Y-Yeah," She smiled nervously. "-I was working so hard I just lost track of time."
"-Oh it's late, so if you need a ride home I understand," He insisted.
"No, it's fine. I will just take the subway." She immediately rejected his offer.
Mr. Bieber however wasn't used to people rejecting his offers even when he was wholeheartedly sincere. Everyone around him always said yes even when he could tell that they didn't want to.
Gabrielle was the first and it made him feel a little unjust.
"Have a good night sir." She smiled once more turning the corner immediately before he could offer her up to anything else.
Which made Mr. Bieber even more intrigued. He didn't know much about his new assistant, only from what he observed in her presence.
On the other hand, all Gabrielle could think about was what her colleague entailed about Mr. Bieber and his past assistants having a history.
She didn't believe him but those thoughts still lingered heavily in her mind and they were so hard to forget about.
She was also curious about what type of history he was referring to. It made me even question how she even got this job.
Gabrielle had finally made it to the empty lobby.
It was honestly way too fucking exhausting to think about at the moment and all she wanted now was to get home and leave all her work troubles behind her as she exited the glass door.
However, nothing ever goes as planned in Gabrielle's book.
"Ms. Montell, Wait," Mr. Bieber pleaded, his footsteps trailing behind her.
"I told you I was just going to take the subway home, Sir. "She said abruptly stopping and turning to see his figure right behind her.
"Let me take you home."He said again but this time it seem more like a command than it did a choice and even though Gabrielle was still very hesitant about making a decision she finally gave him the answer that he wanted.
"Ok." She finally replied.
