Third Person Pov:

The ride was quiet both of them sat beside each other in silence only the sounds of their constant breathing filled the air.

"Do you always drive your employees home?" Gabrielle asked trying to break the awkward silence that filled the air.

She knew that small talk always help her pass the time in socially awkward situations.

"No." Mr. Bieber coldly replied.

His eyes were still focused on the road in front of him as his jawline clenched tightly as he positioned one hand on the steering and the other on his thigh.

From the uncomfortably dry response, he gave her. Gabrielle had realized perhaps it was a good idea to speak to him anymore, so she sat quietly with her hands placed in her lap hoping that she could arrive home sooner than later.

Turn right on Inglewood Drive...

He did what the GPS told him and turn the steering wheel. She could tell from the street name that they were a few minutes away from her neighborhood.

Finally, she would be able to escape the misery of being uncomfortably alone in a car with her boss.

Your destination is on your right...

The car finally came to a stop at a red brick building that was dimly lit by a street light.

"Have a good night, Sir. " She gave another painfully warm smile shutting the car door and making her way to the steps of the red building.

Mr. Bieber's eyes peered from his car closely to see if Ms. Montell had made it into her apartment building safely.

He was finally at ease when he saw her petite silhouette entering the front entrance of her apartment building and disappearing inside.

He turned the car ignition back on and set the GPS to home.

30 minutes to your destination

His eyes skimmed on the illuminated screen and turn to the night road.

-

His eyes were heavy with exhaustion entering the lobby of his apartment complex.

"Seems like you been out late." The security guy Baldwin preached as Bieber took a glimpse of his tired face.

"Just handling business." He gave him a tired look and continued his stroll to the elevators. There he click the button and waited patiently for the doors to open.

The elevator door finally opened. Mr. Bieber took a step inside and clicked the button on his floor.

He emerged out of the elevator and proceeded to the front door of his apartment where he unlocked it.

"You're late! Again!" Maria called out from the black leather couch in the great room.

"I had to take care of some business at the office alright." He replied setting down his briefcase, untying his tie, and tossing his keys in the tray that was beside the front door.

"You know you don't pay me overtime Justin. You could have called or even texted that would have been nice."'

"Maria, please forgive me, " Justin pleaded sarcastically as he took a seat next to her on the leather couch.

Maria let out an unenthusiastic sigh and rolled her eyes whilst she flipped another page in the magazine. She had heard these words many times before and was phased by any of them. She knew Justin a little too well to believe anything that came out of his mouth at this point.

"I made dinner."She said pulling her eyes off the page and taking a look at Justin's deep under-eye circle, dry and chapped lips, and messy hair. She could tell that work wasn't easy today.

"Thank you." the words rolled off his tongue like butter.

Justin lifted himself up from the couch and proceeding to the dining area. His eyes came across the table that was set.

All types of dishes were placed on the table mashed potatoes, macaroni,  greens, fried chicken, steak, rice, tacos, and more.

Food always brought joy to Justin. He loved when Maria his house help made him home-cooked meals. It reminded him of better times when he was a kid. His parents weren't around, to cheer him up and all the day they didn't show up Maria would try her best to make him one of his favorite meals every single day.

Maria was the only real consistent person in his life. He had nobody else that was there for him and wanted the best for him as Maria did. She took care of him and showed him what it was like to have someone who you could rely on for anything.

"Justin!- slow down eating. The food isn't running away from you."Maria scoffed as she walked pass the table. However, Justin didn't care he hadn't had a good meal in what it felt like forever.

-

"Thank you again Maria for the marvelous meal." Justin smiled softly. The food had brightened up his mood.

"You are ever so welcome." She replied sincerely whilst picking up the empty dish from the table and placing them into the sink. Maria's eyes watched carefully as he sat quietly at the dining table quietly

"It must be lonely having this grand meal and no one to share it with."

" You could always join me. I don't mine." Justin sincerely affirmed.

"Justin, you know that's not what I meant."

"-Maria, please.." He stopped her immediately knowing exactly where the discussion would lead however, she continued regardless of how he felt at the moment.

"-I know it been hard but, have you even tried?" She asked.

"No." He replied coldly. His jaw locked in place and his calmed demeanor changed into pure distraught.

"Justin, it's been four years since what happened. Are you going to stay unhappy for the rest of your life!?" Maria pleaded.

However, Justin sat silently unable to curate a response that could answer her question wholeheartedly.

Time seemed so limited when he was only focus on himself and his cooperation but it passed by so quickly that he didn't even realize that had been four years since the incident.

He still wasn't ready to move on or even speak on what happened.

"-Good night Maria." Was Justin's last words before he lifted himself abruptly from the table and stormed toward his room.
