It had been thirty minutes since Gyeong-su had been in the recording studio. I was quite worried.
"Why is he still in there?" I asked Cheongsan who was standing beside me.
"No idea, I'm gonna try to talk to him from the window." He said and I nodded.
I was about to go over to Ha-joon but she was talking to Wu-jin once again. I swear they were gonna have something.
"Ah-lam-" I jumped at the sudden hand on my shoulder.
"Huh? Oh, Joon-yeong. Wait I didn't mean to say your full name, was that weird? Sorry." I laughed nervously and he smiled.
"I know what you meant. I didn't mean to startle you." He replied, "do you want to sit down with me?" He asked me.
For some reason my cheeks were heating up, was I nervous?
"Oh! Sure." I said.
We both went over to sit by the door since everyone was in their own corners talking amongst themselves.
There was a few moments of silence before Joon-yeong spoke.
"Did you have a college or University you wanted to go to if this didn't happen?" He asked me.
I thought about it for a moment. I never really thought about Universities or Colleges. I was only really focused on school, not that stuff.
"Not really. I know everyone wants to go to Seoul University, but I was trying to find an arts one maybe." I shrugged, "how about you?"
"I actually wanted go go to Seoul University." He smiled before continuing, "I just don't know if I will make it in. Well.. if I would make it in."
Joon-yeong was one of the smartest students in the school. I always knew he would be successful in life.
"I know you'll make it in. Even after all of this they'll still accept you. You're smart, like, really really smart. I've seen your projects at the Science fairs, they're amazing." I stopped because I noticed I was rambling, but continued again, "sorry I hope that wasn't weird, you're just really smart."
I noticed he was looking down, but at what? I saw him hesitate to put his hand over mine - so I put my hand on his.
"Thank you, Ah-lam. I really appreciate that." He squeezed my hand, "I know you'll get into a really good arts school because you're amazing at acting and all that arts stuff."
I smiled. "Thank you."
I looked over to see Ha-joon staring at me.
Did she hear me ramble on about how smart he was? Did everyone? I mean, I did whisper it, ugh.
"He won't come out." Cheongsan told Ms Park.
"I'll go talk to him." Ms Park said as she went to go in the room.
We a huddled up by the window to see what they were doing.
"Why won't he just stay out here?" Dae-su asked.
"I don't know, it's just how he his." Cheongsang replied.
Not even a minute later, Ms Park came back out.
"Nayeon, you're probably the only person who can get him out. Go apologize please." Ms Park said.
Nayeon looked up and everyone, including me, was staring at her.
"Why do I have to apologize? I did nothing wrong." Naeyon told everyone. What a lie.
"You said you would. Go." The teacher argued back with her.
