A few weeks later and there were still people being saved from Hyosan. Life got better but you were still left with the fact that people were dying.
Me and the others started hanging out more. We couldn't just stop being friends because it reminded us of the others dying.
My hands weren't bruised up anymore and my clothes were neat.
I still had nightmares and bad dreams about the zombies. I missed a bunch of people everyday.
Life wasn't exactly normal, but it was better than before.
"Ah-lam? You coming with us?" Suhyeok peaked into my room as I was zipping my boots up.
"Yeah." I smiled and grabbed my coat. As we walked I put my coat on. "Where are we going tonight?" I asked the taller boy.
"Maybe visit the school again or just walk around the area." He wasn't too sure yet.
"Sounds good to me." I smiled again. "Is Joon-yeong helping the kids with work again?"
Suhyeok nodded. "Yeah, he always does that."
I laughed. "I guess he misses school. I mean I do too, but I hated studying."
"Same here." Suhyeok was quiet these past few months. I believed that he missed Namra.
"Suhyeok? Are you and Namra still together?" I randomly asked.
He sighed. "I think so." He didn't look at me when he responded.
"You should talk to her." I nudged his shoulder. "She still likes you a lot and just because you guys can't see each other everyday doesn't mean you aren't together."
"Do you think she would still like me?" He looked at me this time when asking a question.
I looked back at him. "Of course." I smiled.
"Thanks, Ah-lam. For everything." Suhyeok smiled back and me and I nodded.
"Hey guys." Joon-yeong and Dae-su approached us.
"Hi." I smiled at them. I wanted to hug Joon-yeong but I didn't know if it would be awkward in front of the two guys.
Instead he held my hand as we walked. "Where are the others?" Joon-yeong asked us.
"I think they're at the normal spot." I replied back. When we turned the corner they were there.
"Let's go." Mi-jin put out her cigarette as soon as we got there.
We all climbed over and walked around the wooded area.
All of us spoke about how some of the rules as the base were weird. It was weird having a Curfew again and how you had to have jobs in order to get money.
"No roommates? That's so boring." Dae-su said.
"We don't even have phones to text." I sighed.
"Oh come on, Ah-lam. You would only text Joon-yeong." Dae-su joked which made the others laugh.
"No! I would text you guys too." My cheeks started to heat up.
"I miss our class groupchat." Hyo-ryung said.
"I miss all of us spamming the chat and Ms Park getting annoyed at us the next day." On-jo said.
I laughed. "Me too. Those were the days you had to hold in your laugh in class or else you would get detention."
"Holding in your laugh then was the hardest thing ever." Suhyeok smiled.
"Yeah, those days were-" Dae-su suddenly stopped. "Namra?"
