•Dionne POV•

I started showing him more videos I'd found of different things; animals being unusual or cute, humans being stupid, funny skits and people - children included - falling over. He pulled out his phone and started showing me videos of his own, and I was happy to find we did actually have a similar sense of humour. While scrolling in between videos, we also discovered something else we had in common - we both loved action movies. Especially superhero ones. Marvel, to be specific.

"Who's your favourite Marvel character?" I asked him excitedly, turning my body entirely to face him as I did.

"Has to be Spider-man, no doubt." He said confidently, and I let out an intrigued 'oooo' before he continued. "And I don't just mean Tom Holland, I mean the whole character. Every version of him gets me hype, that's my boy." He grinned proudly, and I matched his expression.

"Do you have a favourite actor, though?" I asked provocatively, raising an eyebrow and seeing him wince at the question.

"Oh that's not a fair thing to ask-"

"Everyone has a favourite."

"Yeah but they're all good in some way or another."

"Yeah but who did you like the most? Maybe not for the actor but for the movie, y'know?" I readjusted how I was sat as I asked, leaning up against the headboard for comfort. I could tell he was really thinking about an answer.

"...See it's actually kind of controversial, and Michael would kill me if I said it, but... I liked The Amazing Spider-Man most." He admitted nervously.

"Me too!" I exclaimed, slapping a hand over my mouth in a panic and making Calum giggle in the process before lowering my tone to speak again. "I prefer the acting and the story. Tobey is obviously the classic-"

"See, that's why Michael loves him!"

"That doesn't surprise me at all- but like, there's something so special about The Amazing Spider-Man, and people totally don't wanna admit that because they're emotionally connected to the original. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I think they're all good." I held my hands up defensively as if there was gonna be a Tobey Maguire fanboy in the room ready to burn me at the stake for my opinion.

"You're completely right. I'm so glad we're on the same page." He smiled, seemingly amused by how passionate I got about it. "Is Spider-Man your favourite, too?" He then asked.

"He's one of them, for sure. It's hard to choose- I love Black Panther, and Wanda, and Doctor Strange and Miles Morales - like yeah, that's Spider-Man again but it has to be said - oh, and Deadpool." I listed off, knowing full well that if I kept going I'd just have half of the actual character list and Stan Lee, too.

"...You have good taste." Calum nodded with an impressed pout on his lips, and I tilted my head in a humble shrug.

"I'm just unhealthily obsessed, actually." I admitted jokingly - but I was not really joking.

"Don't worry, I've basically watched every movie like three times by now so it's not just you." He admitted, looking down in a slightly shy manner, as if he was a little embarrassed to admit it. "Except for Endgame and Far From Home - haven't had as much time to rewatch those since they came out."

"Oh- well... I haven't even watched Far From Home yet." I confessed, and watched his mouth immediately drop open in shock, making me regret my statement.

"What?!" He blurted, and I quickly hushed him - but his expression was loud enough. "And you say you're unhealthily obsessed. It's been out for, like, two months now. How haven't you seen it?" He shook his head, seemingly flabbergasted.
