Maddie's POV:

I've been in the hospital for 2 weeks now everyone comes and visits when they can but JJ and my mom haven't left the whole time. Whenever there was a case the team would go without us. I'm getting discharged tomorrow and I'm so excited I still can't go back to work yet but I'd rather be stuck at home then be stuck here in this bed.

"Hey love you ready for tomorrow?" Mom asks me

"You have no idea." I tell her laughing

"It sucks you cant come back to work yet." JJ tells me

"Yeah but I can at least go back to normal life again." I say looking down

"Hey listen he may have hurt you but he did not break you okay." My mom tells me

"I just feel gross and tainted from what they did I feel dirty mom."

"I know love I do but it gets easier I promise."

She kisses my head and leaves to go get something from the vending machine.

"JJ?" I say still looking down

"Yes?"

"Why haven't you left yet?"

"Left? Why would I leave?"

"Because I'm dirty." I say now sobbing she runs over and holds me

"Maddie you are not dirty I would never think of you like that. I'm not going to leave you for something that wasn't your fault. Your "father" let those men hurt you I'm mad at him not you." She tells me kissing my head as a cry myself to sleep.

JJ's POV: 

*The next day*

Todays the day Maddie gets to come home I was very excited I know she is still hurting and it kills me that I can't take the pain away. It's gonna be a long recovery and I'm going to be here every step of the way.

We left the hospital around 3 and headed to Emilys house. Maddie didn't know it but everyone was waiting at the house ready to surprise her. Everyone's so happy she's out of the hospital and we can't wait for her to get back to work. We decided we would surprise her so we could all show her how much we care about her. I was most excited for tonight because I had something extra planned. 

We got to Emily's house and I ran to Maddie to help her out of the car she's still in a little bit of pain. She didnt say anything just smiled at me and kissed me I think shes excited to be home. Em and I both helped her up to their apartment and once we got inside everyone yelled surprise.

"Oh my what are you guys doing here." Maddie asks I could tell she was a little overwhelmed and grabbed her hand

"We wanted to give you a welcome home little party." Pen says running up to hug her

"Gental Pen." I say

"Oh sorry love did I squeeze too tight?" Pen asked pulling away super fast

"No Pen I'm okay JJ's just being protective." She said giving me a look

"It's my job." I tell her

"Sure it is babe."

We spent the night talking and playing games after about 3 hours everyone left and it was time for my surprise. Emily already knew the plan so all I had to do was take Maddie.

"Hey baby?"

"Yeah?" She asked

"Come with me." I told her

"Where are we going?"

"It's a surprise."

"The team isn't gonna be there right?"

"No baby just me and you."

We headed to my car and I drove us to the park before we left the hospital I had pulled Emily to the side and asked her if she was alright if I asked Maddie to be my girlfriend. Of course she said yes and so with the help of Garcia and Morgan I planned the perfect date to ask her. After they left the party the pair came to the park and set up a picnic and decorations for us.

When we got to the park I ran over and blind folded Maddie so she wouldn't ruin the surprise. I helped her out of the car and guided her to the spot I was nervous as hell but I was more excited.

"JJ can I take this off now please?"

"You are so impatient hold on almost there."

"Okay take it off." I said grabbing her hand

"Wow JJ this is beautiful." She said kissing me

"I wanted our first date to be special."

"How did you have time to do this you never left my side."

"Lets just say I had some help."

"Let me guess Penelope?"

"And Derek."

"Really?" She asked surprised

"Only because Garcia made him help." I told her laughing

"You Jennifer are full of surprises."

"I try my best."

We sat and eat the food after we took turns feeding each other chocolate coved strawberries then we just lied together watching the stars. Right now life just felt perfect like everything was coming together. After a half hour of watching the stars I decided it was time. I sat up and Maddie gave me a questioned look at sat up as well.

"Maddie."

"Is everything okay?"

"Maddie everything is absolutely perfect. When im with you I feel like im on top of the world and I never want that feeling to go away. So Madison Prentiss will you be my girlfriend?" I finally asked

"Jennifer Jareau I would love to be your girlfriend." She said as she jumped into my lap and kissed me she pulled back and winced

"Ouch I forgot I was still sore." She said laughing behind the pain as to not ruin the moment

"I love you Maddie." I say kissing her once more trying to be gentle

"I love you more JJ."
