Maddie's POV

I woke up to an empty bed I looked around but didn't see JJ. I got out of bed got dressed and went downstairs to see if she was down there. I walked around but couldn't find her I heard someone come downstairs and thought it was her.

"JJ?" I asked running to the stairs

"No love it's me what's wrong?" My mom asked me 

"I can't find JJ mom." I say my eyes starting to water

"Did you text her or call her?" She asked trying to calm me down

"N-no" I told her

"Here call her." She said handing me my phone

I called JJ but I got no answer. I called again and still nothing. I decided to text her to see if she would answer me. 

"JJ what the hell where are you???"

"I'm sorry I don't know if I can do this."

"what do you mean? Baby please can we just talk?"

"I'm sorry Maddie."

"JJ please"

"JJ I love you"

I just froze I couldn't move I just kept crying into my mom I couldn't breathe I just wanted JJ.

JJ's POV

I didn't want to leave but I knew I had to I feel like Maddie getting kidnapped and hurt like she was is my fault. I can't stand for her to blame me I want nothing more than to be with her but her father is still out there I can't risk her getting hurt again because of me.

I kept getting texts all night from Maddie, Emily, and the team. I'm dreading going to work tomorrow Emily is going to hate me. I never wanted to hurt Maddie I just can't let her get hurt again.

*The next morning*

I woke up and looked at my phone 17 texts and 11 missed calls from Maddie and 6 texts from Emily. I'm so screwed when I get to work. I drove the long way to work not going a single number over the speed limit to delay getting to work as much as I could. When I got to work everyone's car was already in the garage I decided it was now or never. I quickly went inside and went straight to my office avoiding everyone. I noticed someone wasn't here Maddie she probably hates me now and never wants to see me again I've officially ruined the best thing to ever have happened to me. As soon as I got into my office my door busted open.

"JJ WHAT THE HELL?" Emily yelled at me

"Emily please let me explain." I said quickly shutting the door

"EXPLAIN WHAT WHY YOU LEFT MY DAUGHTER WITHOUT EVEN AN EXPLINATION?"

"Emily please stop shouting." I say flopping on my couch breaking down.

"JJ why?" Emily asked finally calming down

"I'm scared Emily. She was safe until I kissed her until I fell in love her as soon as we fell for each other she was kidnapped and hurt and now she's pregnant and It's my fault I can't be with her knowing I put her in danger."

"JJ it's not your fault It has always been just a matter of time before he found her. I have protected her her entire life. You don't put her in danger JJ you keep her safe. With you she can relax she doesn't have to constantly look over her shoulder because she knows you will protect her no matter what because you love her and she loves you."

"Emily what am I supposed to do she won't take me back not after this."

"It doesn't hurt to try." She says getting up to leave

"I'm sorry Emily." I tell her

"I'm not the one you need to tell that too JJ." She says and leaves

For the next few hours I sit staring at the wall I am completely zoned out numb I miss Maddie I want her back but how can I face her when I've hurt her so much. I finally came to when my phone buzzed. I looked down and saw it was Emily.

"JJ."

"Yeah?"

"Text her."

"I can't."

"Yes you can tell her you wanna talk she won't say no."

"How do you know."

"Shes my daughter JJ were like the same person."

I sighed to myself she was right her and Maddie were the same Emily knows her better than anyone I reluctantly grabbed my phone and texted Maddie terrified that she hates me now.

"Hey can we meet and talk please?"

I waited but got no answer

"Maddie please let me explain."

"Fine I'll be at your place at 8."

"Ill see you then." 

I smiled to myself but quickly got nervous again its only 2:00 these next 6 hours were gonna be long that's for sure.

As soon as it hit 6 I headed home I wanted to get things ready for tonight. I needed to make things right I have to make it up to her. I stopped at the store to get some things I grabbed stuff to make dinner and some wine. I know Maddie isn't old enough to drink but if things go as planned maybe she'll stay the night.

I got home around 6:45 and started making dinner I was making steak and mashed potatoes her favorite. As I put the final touches on the food I checked the time 7:30 already I must have lost track of time I quickly ran to my room to get changed I put on my favorite dress and heels. I wore my hair natural because Maddie always likes it natural.

As I finished fixing my hair I heard the doorbell. Here goes nothing. I ran downstairs and paused when I got to the door I breathed not knowing what to expect what was going to happen. I opened the door and saw her the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. 

"Hi." I finally said 

"Hey."
