Pokémon. Creatures with amazing abilities ranging from differing elements and 18 types. They live in the seas, on land, and even in the sky. The world is full of Pokémon. Our story begins in the small town of Serene Village. The town had become famous for being the home town of the exploration society members who helped save the world from Dark Matter. The town had stayed the same with the exception of an inn/ hospital run by a Swana and a Comfey and an orphanage.

One stormy evening, there came a knock at the orphanage door. A Golduck Answered the door with a slightly grouchy face. This Golduck was Glint, head of the Home for Orphaned Pokémon. The Pokémon who were at the door was Chief Spritz Goodra and Deputy Astron Arcanine. The Goodra holding a basket with a blue ribbon.

"Now what do you lot want? It's a school night and I don't want you to wake up the young ones." Glint said in a slightly annoyed tone.

"And we are so very sorry for disturbing you." Spritz said, "We just had to come to tell you that a tragedy has occurred."

"What happened? Did anyone from my family get hurt?" the Golduck asked worriedly.

"We're not sure exactly what happened." Astron said looking to his notes, "We found the body of a female Greninja whose legs were pinned by a fallen tree. She was found to have many stab wounds in her back. We believe that may have been the cause of death."

"That's horrible. Have you identified who did it?" Glint asked as he tried not to think of the crime scene.

The chief shook his head. "I'm afraid not. She wasn't carrying any form of identification. The only thing we found on her was an egg that she was curled around at the time of her death." He then handed over the basket to the Golduck who saw that the basket held the afore mentioned egg.

It was blue in color with shapes that were shaped like a Froakie's hands. The egg had a small crack, but it didn't seem to cause any problems other than a birthmark of sorts. To the Golduck, it seemed happy yet sad at the same time.

"I guess it's safe to assume that the Greninja was it's mother." Glint then looked to the two officers, "Have you figured out the gender of the Froakie inside?"

The Goodra rubbed his neck. "We've determined that it's a boy. We just hope that He can find a good home."

The Golduck nodded. "You can count on me officers. I shall do my best to find a good home for him."

The two police Pokémon nodded before leaving. Glint returned inside with the new arrival. "Well, little one, What am I gonna call you?"

The Duck Pokémon sat down in his Story Time chair and started rocking the egg. As he looked around, the Golduck saw the story book and saw the sword the commander was holding on the cover. The book was about Pokémon who couldn't use moves and had to use crafted weapons to defend themselves. Glint's focus was on the leader's weapon.

The Golduck looked to the egg in his arms and smiled. "That's perfect. I feel that You could make an amazing leader someday. I'm going to name you: Saber.

In a secret location:

The cave was dark. the only light coming from the glowing gems in the bottom of a pool of water. This cave wasn't uninhabited though.

Throughout the cave, the sounds of pickaxes sounded. The sounds were caused by Pokémon who were chained together and forced to dig for some of the gems. There were other Pokémon who were watching over them. These Pokémon were the notorious gang known as The Taskmasters, Pokémon who enslaved others to work the mines and the mills. The top Pokémon of The Taskmasters called themselves Team Neo Dark Matter, and they were the worst out of all of them.

Right now, their current leader, a Bisharp name Slasher, was awaiting the arrival of their newest applicant. They had been sent on a retrieval mission as an initiation of sorts. Applicants had to show that they were not only worthy to join, but also able to show that they are ruthless and merciless. Many have passed through various disturbing ways.

The center of the room that the lead Bisharp was currently standing in was a conduit for a Magnagate terminal. Magnagates are portals to different places based on which Entercards, the keys to activating Magnagates, are used and which way they are placed.

A Gliscor flew in and landed in front of Slasher and bowed. "Master Slasher, I've brought a message from the applicant."

"Ah, so they haven't been caught." the Sword Blade Pokémon said, "Tell me the message that he sent you."

The Fang Scorp Pokémon nodded, "He told me to tell you that he has completed his goal and wishes to finish his mission here." the Gliscor hesitated before continuing, "He also asked that you make preparations to sanitize the room and the way to the showers when he returns."

Slasher didn't quite know exactly what this new applicant meant, but he gave the order for the Magnagate to be opened. After waiting a little bit, the applicant did show up, and was he a mess.

He was a Pawniard. He was also covered in enough blood to fill a bucket. As the two Pokémon in the room looked over the young Pokémon, they noticed a red stained cloth being held in one of it's clawed hands.

"I see you were serious about the sanitization." Slasher said a little impressed that the Pawniard wasn't disgusted by the blood that was even now dripping down his body, "What's that in the bag?"

The Pawniard looked to the bag that he held and began to unwrap it. "It's just a snack I took from my assigned victim." When he pulled it out, the Gliscor fainted. The reason why is because in the claw of the Pawniard was a heart, and not the kind you see floating around a love-struck cartoon character.

The Pawniard then took a big bite out of the heart. The response being the Bisharp clapping. "Well done, applicant, you have proven to me that you can be a valuable asset to The Taskmasters." Slasher then reaches behind him and pulled out a black scarf with a skull and crossbones, "This scarf shows that you are one of our ranks. Welcome aboard, young Cutlass."

The now named Cutlass grinned maliciously. "It's good to be with the group, Father."
