I look behind me and see Aella and Erik talking to Amora. She is currently rubbing Galen's back as he hovers over a bucket. His pale face is green now.
He gags and begins puking into the bucket. Aella turns away in disgust. Erik looks at Aella and gives a small laugh to her reaction.
When I approach them, Erik's smile drops to a thin neutral line.
"Amora," I tap her on the shoulder. She looks at me with her thin amber eyes. I wonder if that is what my eyes would look like if I was fully Fireling. I know I have a little amber in mine, but would it be like Amora's?
"Paxon is getting cranky. He needs to know where exactly he is going."I gesture to Paxon at the front of the ship. We are already five hours into our trip, and he is already annoyed.
"Right!" Amora turns to Galen. "I will be right back." She whispers to him. He nods his head with his face still in the bucket.
"How about I get you some water," I suggest to Galen after Amora left. He slowly nods his head.
I walk to the front of the rows of seats. Rawr sits in one of the chairs knocked out. He fell asleep about twenty minutes after we were in the air.
I am kind of glad he is asleep. The second he gets a chance, he is going to try to address the conversation we had a week ago. That is why I have been avoiding him. I do not want to talk about it.
I tiptoe around him, to the chair beside him where the water sits.
I do not want to hate Rawr. I want to be grateful that I have him back in my life. I fear that if we talk about everything, and put my feelings in the open, we could never return to our old selves. If there is still a chance for that I am going to take it.
I grab the water and sit it next to Galen.
"Thank you." He croaks.
"Of course."
"Okay, I am back." Amora drops down next to Galen and begins rubbing his back again.
I stand in the middle aisle trying to find my balance as the jet tilts a little.
"You should probably go sit down," Erik speaks up. His voice is quiet. Like he is scared someone besides me will hear him.
"In a moment," I say and turn to Amora.
"Where exactly are we going, Amora?" I ask skeptically. I want to trust her, but I feel like out of everyone here, I know nothing about her. She is probably the oldest out of all of us. Maybe about twenty-two or twenty-three. And she seems very intelligent.
"To Lazuli in the Ice Realm." She says nonchalantly.
"What is in Lazuli?" Erik asks.
"The Rebellion headquarters."
The jet begins to run into turbulence. It bounces a little, making me stumble. Erik gives me a side glare. "It is not too late to go sit down."
"I am fine," I reply, holding onto the arrow still sticking out of the wall.
"Even if you sat on the floor, it would probably be better." He says.
"I said I am fine!"
Before I can get through my whole sentence, I trip and fall on my back smack into the floor. Rawr jumps awake and looks at me.
"Are you okay?" Aella gasps.
"Everything good back there?" Paxon asks with his back to us.
I sit up trying to hide the pain I am in as Erik tries to hide his laughter.
