Astella walked into her office and Lizzie followed after her, "Mrs Shelby?" Astella hummed, "That number called again for you and also, another letter from New York," Lizzie said.
"Another? What happened to the last letter?" Astella asked as she walked over to her desk.
"Mr Shelby told me he'd deal with it... Did you not receive it?" Lizzie asked.
Astella sighed and sat down, "No I didn't. Wouldn't surprise me if the bastard burnt it," Astella said.
Lizzie handed her the new letter and piece of paper, "Why would he?" Lizzie asked.
"Because he's Thomas Shelby, that's why, dear... What is a Birmingham Parish doing calling me?" Astella asked.
"Maybe it's about Daniel?" Lizzie suggested.
Astella looked at her for a few moments, "Right..." Lizzie turned to leave, "Uh, Lizzie... Could you stay, please?" Astella asked.
"Sure," Lizzie nodded and sat down in one of the chairs opposite Astella's desk and looked around, "Never been in your office... It's big," Lizzie said.
"Well, I've only been in here a few times and I agree," Astella said and dialled the number.
"Hello, Birmingham Parish," A woman's voice said.
"Yes, hello. My name's Astella Shelby," Astella rolled her eyes a little at how easily she lies about the marriage now, "You've been trying to contact me? Apologies, I've been rather busy," Astella said.
"Ah, yes! We had news that Daniel Shelby finally found you, we just need to confirm you are... You, and sign some forms," The woman said.
"Of course. I can make it today," Astella said.
"Perfect... Also, I must ask... How many Campbell children did your father have?" The woman asked.
"As far as I'm aware, my father only had three children. Myself being the youngest," Astella said as Lizzie looked at her.
"What of your mother?" The woman asked.
"...My mother during giving birth to me," Astella said.
"Gosh. I'msorry! Me and my big mouth! I ask because there's a Campbell who says her father is yours," The woman said.
"I'd like to meet her during my visit. My assistant and I will be there as soon as we can," Astella said and Lizzie looked at her.
"Of course. Please ask for Maxine, that's me. We'll do the forms for Daniel straight away once you've proved who you are... It's just standard Mrs Shelby. Then I shall introduce you to Angela Campbell," Maxine said.
"Perfect. Thank you," Astella said and hung up.
"Everything okay?" Lizzie asked.
"We're going on a trip, Lizzie. Grab your coat," Astella said as she looked at the letter then placed it in her bag and stood up.
"Do I need to call Mr Shelby?" Lizzie asked as she stood up.
"No, I told him I'd be busy today," Astella said.
"Okay," Lizzie said and nodded before walking out of the office.
Astella walked out of her office and into Natasha's to find it empty. She walked over to the desk and wrote a note, 'Borrowing Lizzie. See you later.'
Astella walked out of the office, putting her coat, gloves, scarf and hat on then she and Lizzie left their office.
