One

The division between the Dark Bloods and the Red bloods is far from any natural compare. You're either one or the other and there's no in between. Not in this world. It's now a place where humans turned 'Bloods' are forced to call it home. Well, perhaps using the term 'humans' is more practical; that's what we're morally supposed to be. From the very moment we open our eyes as mindless infants, we are put into lists as numbers and then long queues. Waiting, itching and clawing at our turn injected with a serum the High Ones call Erebus-Kratos. A venomous substance that provides great power to those that intake it. A substance which is honoured and worshiped like the body of a God by the Bloods of New Earth. It takes anywhere from hours to years to get to the front of the list. The laws are inevitable when it comes to the serum. As if child is older than the age of 5 and is still pure in blood with no serum, it is punishable by death to the child and the family. As we wait, all we hear is the glorification of the serum. But all we truly knew as children was that you either turn into one of the two Bloods, or you die.

Earth has faced battle after battle. Wars with climate, economy and humans alike. But once it got to an unchangeable point, The High Ones decided the ancient human body was too weak to walk the New Earth. That's why they made Erebus-Kratos, to make us stronger than any natural force. Once, humans used to simply walk, breathe, see and react. But now, those senses have been risen to up to than 20 times more powerful depending on how the serum was processed through the blood. We are faster, stronger, our regular sight can be compared to the clarity of a microscope and our reaction time is incompatible with any other living creature.

The High Ones are like the government, the all mighty spine to our society. They have power on New Earth and keep it in balance. Scientists and politicians preventing climate change, inventing alien technologies and distributing the serum. Any Doctor, lawyer or someone with a powerful role is seen as a High One, living in the most  secrete and secure estates in the cities, away from any regular society. However, there is a deadly side to the High Ones. Not only will you loose to their humble yet robust control, but they have completely divided the Bloods of both kinds.

As soft spoken and intelligent as the High Ones are, they don't take into consideration to those different to them. The production of Erebus-Kratos was purely based on the "generic" human body. It's unnatural and toxic compared to what the body is meant to obtain. Meaning that people with even the slightest genetic difference, perhaps something as simple as Heterochromia, could react negatively to the serum. In some cases resulting in death. But mostly, that doesn't matter because even if you're genetically 'perfect', the brain could still take the opposite turn when the serum enters the body.

Those people are called the Dark Bloods. They are known for their impulsive and ruthless ways. Still strong and enhanced like any other blood, but so much more intense. The only explanation is that when they were infused with the serum, their brain couldn't handle its power and became permanently transfigured. The frontal lobe of the brain is the part that is most affected. The serum almost sends a wave of different hormones into the gland and twists the morality of actions, behaviour and emotions. Turning them into much darker and remorseless, Violent and sadistic replications. The High Ones so graciously decided to take the Dark Bloods under their wings, but not in the way you'd hope. They took the Dark Blood's extremity as an advantage to build soldiers. Kept in high security facilities. Practically robots that follow any command and are completely unbeatable.

The Red Bloods are what's seen as the, how do i say, normal ones. The people who had fallen lucky enough to absorb the Erebus-kratos just fine. They are mostly untouched by The High Ones. Thanks to the Red Blooded self control, they are almost seen as a population of royals: Flawless and civilised. Some training methods are still mandatory for them, after all, such great abilities must be tamed. Only, their training isn't as forceful and brainwashing. Though training is an over exaggeration; Schooling and physical education is a lot more accurate. From what was known, Red Bloods got to choose their education path while remaining in a field of physical activity to learn how to control and balance their strength.
