He suddenly walked towards me, causing me to back away further into my apartment before he forcefully closed and locked the door behind him. I was backed into a wall, feeling my heart race as his body came closer to mine. "You're so fucking frustrating." He said with a deep voice, quickly running his fingers along my neck to grab it and pull my lips onto his.

I wanted to fight back but something was stopping me. A thought spinning through my mind: Did i want this or did i need to do this for the sake of his trust in me? It was as if i could feel his energy radiating onto me, i could sense how much he needed me, how much he wanted this. That's when i lost all sense and gave into him. The way we kissed, the way we moved our bodies, the way we felt one another, it was perfect like we were supposed to be there. I practically melted in his embrace, i've never felt this way for anyone or anything and as a Dark Blood, i wasn't supposed to. But i loved it. It was as addictive as a drug, as engulfing as the oxygen in my lungs and as deadly as venom. There was no way out.

Bright Green eyes beckoned me, with fear brewing inside them. Her blonde hair spread out on the cold ground, the blood seeping through her golden strands and crawling across the floor like a river of crimson. The icy silver gun in my stern hand still seeping with smoke as it has just unleashed the final bullet. I gasped as my body awoke from its sleep. With my heart pounding and a cold sweat lingering on my skin, i convinced myself it was just another nightmare. Adrian was in a deep sleep, his face practically glowing in the blue moonlight that was beaming through the windows. That's another thing about this place, the change in atmosphere over the centuries had filtered the colour of the moon, changing it from a silver glow to a sapphire one.

I gently felt Adrian's hair, which was still somehow almost perfectly styled in his dark curtain bangs. Guilt was over throwing every emotion i was capable of feeling in that moment, i couldn't believe i did this to him. I knew we both wanted what we did. Sleeping with him was one of the best things i've ever decided to do for myself but it felt so wrong. It was evil. A sudden buzz came from Adrian's phone on the table beside me. '2 miss calls from Linerra', 'Linerra: You said you were coming back to my place where are you?' I had just fucking risked my own life and his for what we just did and he was busy obsessing over the one girl i was closest to? I was so wrong, this was so wrong. Shame and defeat was hanging over me like a cursed shadow.

I looked at the clock on my bedside table, it was 3:44am. I had only been asleep for 3 hours. It wasn't like i was going to get anymore after that nightmare. The floorboards felt uncomfortable under my feet as i got out of my bed and walked to the kitchen.

As i lifted myself onto the counter, i saw myself on the reflection of the fridge door. In my silk robe i had put on over my underwear, looking as if i was so tired. Not because of my lack of sleep, i was used to sleeping for small amounts of time because of training and the serum giving me the strength i needed to stay awake. It was more exhaustion from pretending to be someone i wasn't. Evelyn Jones was merely a character in President Lans play. My blood was hungry for my unanswered questions. I needed to know what Adrian saw in that lab, even if it meant getting caught, possibly killed and having to leave Adrian alone in my bed like this. Me leaving this early would mean that i wouldn't have to wake up myself to him already gone to some other persons house. Perhaps leaving would make things less awkward for him. It would spare him the explanation of why he decided to swap girls from Linerra to me. But my possessive thoughts were refusing to stand like this any longer.

That's when i remembered, one of my bracelets... While one held weapons and objects, there was one that would scan every Blood i came into close contact with. If you asked the bracelet to show you that person, it would project their face or any body part that was visible to the bracelet when it first scanned them. I quietly sped walked to find the brief case that was safely hidden in a storage box, under neatly folded unused blankets. After unlocking it, i took out a small black box and opened the lid, revealing the lonesome silver bracelet. I put it on my wrist and pressed the small pearl that was in the centre of the chain. "Show me President Lans' eye." A projection of President Lans face appeared before me, it zoomed into his face so that nothing but his life sized eye could be seen.
