The idea was accepted easily. There was no denying that Ree was strong, perhaps one of the strongest in the facility, but i was a Blue Blood and that gave me a natural advantage over him. We both stood face to face, so close that i caught his rich colognes scent in my nose as his eyes beckoned down on me. No emotion sat on our faces. I knew i could win this. The fight started and our metal bars clashed together, the kids were cheering and watching in awe as i moved my body so strategically. But the thing was, Ree was doing the same things. He knew what he was doing and his strength was so powerful that i began to feel stunned.

Then he got me. I stumbled backwards as his bar swung toward me when i least expected it. But thankfully, i managed to block it with my arm before pulling him closer to me and throwing him to the ground in a violent and choreographic way. I got him. On the ground, restraining his ability to move, i hovered over him with my bar against his neck. One of his hands was on my waist, sending shivers through my skin. I felt a tension inside of me. His soft, warm skin. Even the shape of his fingers. It gave me a vision of me and Adrian the night we slept together and it terrified me. Ree smiled as the students cheered for me. "Fair game." He gently said as he let out an exhausted laugh, with his eyes more visible than ever before. Everything was reminding me of Adrian, the way he moved, his body, his eyes. Even though his eyes were blue and his hair was black unlike Adrian, i just couldn't escape the vision of him.

Quickly, i stood up and backed away, making Ree sit up and look at me with a sudden confusion. "Fair game." I repeated quietly, trying not to seem like i felt the way i did. He stood up and reached his hand out to me as a token of gratitude to my victory. Obviously i shook it. But the feeling of his hands made everything worse. And so, i told the students that my session with them was over. "Could you finish up here for me?" I asked blankly, to which Ree replied with a small nod. I didn't say anything else, i just walked out of the training hall trying to not look suspicious. The whole time, i walked walked away, Ree's eyes were on me, as if he knew exactly what i was thinking and feeling.

As i entered my apartment, i decided i needed something to distract me. Valeria's house party was still on and i was friends with most people who were there. Going to a party wouldn't be so bad, especially if it had a few bottles of white wine or cheap cocktails that i could get into my system with the company of people i get along with. After talking a hot shower, i styled my hair and curtain bangs before doing a simple makeup look and putting on my favourite short, black silk dress. As i was about to leave my apartment, i caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror on my bedroom wall. I hadn't dressed this way in a while.

Loud music was echoing through the house as colourful strobe lights made everything even more exciting. Valeria and I danced amongst a crowd of people for what felt like hours. Shot after shot, song after song, the night grew more into what felt like a fever dream. A tap on my shoulder brought me back to my senses. I turned around under the pink and purple light to see who it was. Dark hair, hooded eyes, the scent of coconut and flowers. "Linerra?" I yelled over the loud music. She let out a squeal and pulled me into a hug. I was lost for words as she yelled back, "Do I call you Evelyn or Amora?" She laughed but I instantly felt apologetic.
"It's Amora, oh my god, i'm so sorry about everything." She held my arms and smiled as widely as i did.

"Hey it's ok, my dad works here in Draconius so i know what your bloods were forced to do. Well, your old version of blood." It was like I was learning so much about her and her about me, and yet our energy together felt like we never left.
"You're here, I can't believe you're here." Perhaps I forgot that more people were let into Draconius since the laws were lifted. "I don't know how they let me in I was already pissed when I got onto the train." We laughed and drank and danced while meeting new people for hours until she eventually had to go. I got my friend back.
