No, I don't have a statement to release, but I will say this I am no longer in that unsafe situation and haven't been for a while now. Though I'm struggling with the trauma, I am surrounded by love and will continue to be Rahema. And everyone deserves relationships free from domestic violence. No one is immune to domestic violence. If you or someone you know is in an unsafe situation, please encourage you or them to seek the necessary support and resources to get yourself or the person you know out.

We apologize for reporting on the domestic violence situation between Rahema and her former partner that had taken place back in July. We are fully aware of how insensitive it is to report on such a sensitive topic. We realize that this could have caused harm to Rahema and her family as they have already dealt with the matter, and there was no reason for us to cause her pain by having to realize the traumatic event again through the media. We will be donating to several charities of Rahema's choosing that assist people seeking help for domestic violence.
