Jimmy was laying on Scott's bed. Scott had left earlier that day to do some individual tasks. Memories with the lovely cyanette were going through Jimmy's mind. He didn't know why but it's not like it bothered him. He wasn't complaining. He didn't care if he was blushing, he didn't care if anyone had entered the room, nor did he care about his surroundings at all. All he cared about was his Scott. Only Scott can make Jimmy feel this way. Jimmy knew that and so did others. He made it painfully obvious. He was so distracted that he didn't even hear the door open.
"Flower? Why are you still here?" Scott didn't get a response. The cyanette walked over to his own bed and placed a few items down. "Jimmy??" Scott said, poking Jimmy's face. "Huh? What?" Jimmy asked, confused, sitting up quickly.
"I asked you a question but I don't think you heard me." Scott sounded worried for Jimmy. How could he not? Jimmy was his lover after all.
The question had clicked in Jimmy's mind a little late as there were a lot of important things going through his head. "Oh I was waiting for you..and I didn't have anything planned for today." It was true. He did wait for Scott to get back but he had a lot of things planned that day.
"It's getting late and you waited here the entire morning and almost all of afternoon just for me? Did you even eat anything?" That last bit had clicked for the both of them. Neither of them had a full meal. Just small snacks here and there.
"Uh yea I did...not much though..." There was a moment of silence. "Right, thought so. C'mon, let's get something to eat quickly." Scott said, breaking the silence. The elf took Jimmy's hand without him saying a word and rushed downstairs with Jimmy following closely behind.
"Elaine? Can you make us something to eat quickly?" Scott said, sitting Jimmy down and pulling out his own seat. "Of course. Anything specific?" Elaine yelled from the kitchen. "No, just something quick and easy." (Like your mom lol sorry not sorry)
After a few minutes the food was ready. "Here ya go." Elaine said, gently placing the food down on the dining table. "Thank you, Elaine." The dish was simple and quick. Just eggs, bacon, sausages, and rice. The two kings ate in silence as the late brunch that had been given to them slowly gets finished. It wasn't an awkward silence. It was more so, peaceful in a way. Their food was too good to speak, especially since they hadn't had much that entire day.
As the couple finished eating, they headed upstairs back to Scott's room. To Jimmy the room always felt empty and spacious yet threatening in a way. It wasn't a bad thing. It just made things feel a bit more tense..or awkward? No. Awkward wasn't the right word. It didn't feel awkward. It was better than that because the two would always chat, laughs here and jokes there. But it definitely made things more... exaggerated? Yea. We'll stick to that.
On the other hand, for Scott, it was his comfort place, besides Jimmy and his house of course. Everything felt right to Scott. There was a sense of reassurance knowing exactly where everything was. Sure there would be moments where he too, could feel the tension in the air but they never lasted long. Not when those two were together. They were basically inseparable.
When they had nothing to talk about, they'd always sit in a serene silence cuddling each other, small kisses every once in a while. Today was going to be like one of those days. Except Jimmy had other things planned. He wanted to take Scott to a place he found a while back. Little did he know that Scott was planning to take Jimmy there too. The elf got to it first.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Jimmy, go change into one of the outfits I planned for you. I've got a surprise for you" Scott said, grabbing his cape and buttoning it. "Oh? Where are we heading?" Jimmy asked curiously while taking the clothes from the bed. "How come I didn't notice this earlier?" Jimmy thought to himself before changing into it. His train of thoughts were interrupted when Scott made a small scoff noise. "Something wrong?" Jimmy asked, switching his gaze to Scott."I'm not going to tell you where we are going. It's supposed to be a surprise dummy." The elf said teasingly to his significant other. "Ohh. Yea, right. Sorry." Jimmy chuckled realizing how dumb that question was. Jimmy felt someone pull him close and he turned to see Scott way closer than he thought. The blonde was taken aback at how beautiful the starborne elf was. I mean he knew he was absolutely stunning but he looked better up close. Pale skin, soft red nose, slightly unnoticeable snowflakes, star freckles littering his soft yet cold cheeks, hair slightly pulled to one side covering most of his blue and purple eyes, and very, very kissable lips.
Kissable lips.
Should I do it?
Why are you even asking?
You've done this before.
What's so different now?
Jimmy's mind was all over the place but was quickly stopped when he felt his lover's lips on his. Jimmy almost immediately melted into the kiss. He can tell that they were both smiling. It lasted for a few seconds but to them, it was everything. All emotions in one yet relaxing, as if all their doubts and problems had melted away.
"You can be such an idiot sometimes but I love that about you." Scott said in an almost hushed voice. Jimmy can feel the blood rush to his cheeks. "Oh you.." Jimmy sighs, leaning his head against Scott's shoulder. "We should hurry, I don't want the special gift to be ruined." Scott said, running his fingers through Jimmy's hair.
"How could it possibly be ruined?" Jimmy asked. He knew Scott would go extra miles for him. Scott would always make sure everything was perfect so there wouldn't be any mistakes in sight. It would be surprising if anything Scott planned devastated anyone.
"If we don't get there on time then we'll miss the sunset." Scott said, letting go of Jimmy to get ready once more.
"Oh? It's one of those places that look absolutely stunning in the sunset?" Jimmy asked, a grin plastered on his face. Scott only hummed in response as he was more focused on getting his eyeliner on point. (Yes Scott likes wearing eyeliner in this au. You can't tell me he wouldn't rock or if he'd hate it.) "Always more focused on getting this perfect aren't you? When will you realize you are already enough?" Jimmy thought to himself as he finished getting ready.

The couple walked into a small clearing in the middle of a forest that had a small lake in the center. The field around the lake was littered in flowers of all sorts. Vibrant colors filled their vision almost completely. Animals skipping around, birds singing, and trees rustling in the cool breeze. It was beautiful, majestic even. Breathtaking. Who wouldn't want to take in the view?
Well Jimmy wasn't paying attention. Jimmy was looking at Scott and him only, not paying a single attention to their surroundings. He was in love with the way the blaring sunlight shone on Scott's hair and face. Light shone on Scott's lashes illuminating it, making it seem as if it were a golden color. His smile was brighter than anything Jimmy had ever seen. It was almost like the world was nonexistent for just a moment. Was Scott a god because it sure as heck felt like it.
Hand passes through Jimmy's vision. "You can stop looking at me now." Jimmy felt the heat rise to his cheeks as soon as he realized he'd been staring for too long.
"Sorry, sorry, uh you just look..." Jimmy's voice trailed off while averting his gaze anywhere other than his partner. "Have I always been this shy with Scott? No right? This is nothing new so why does it feel different? I fell head over heels for you haven't I?"
"D'you think I'm so pretty that you can't stop staring?" A teasing elf asked, a smirk plastered on his face. This comment caught the already flustered fishboy off guard. "Uh.. Well.. I.. erm.." He stutters clearly embarrassed. "Why am I feeling this way? I was fine before? The things you do to me, Petal. I swear I've fallen more in love with you than I ever thought I could."
"You are so cute aren't you?"
Jimmy whips his head towards a now kneeling starborne elf king. "Petal? What are you..." Jimmy was cut off with Scott taking a box out. Scott flips the box open revealing a ring decorated in flowers. Jimmy gasps in pure shock.
"Jimmy, will you make me the happiest king on earth and... Marry me?" Scott mutters. Thoughts were racing through Scott's mind. He knew they didn't really have the 'marriage' talk yet, sure they mentioned it in the past but it wasn't taken very seriously. "What if it's too soon? What if he declines? Please say yes."
"Petal.." Scott looks up to see Jimmy standing there, hands over his mouth, and teary eyes. Light shining onto Jimmy almost perfectly, making it seem as if he had a halo of some sort. "Of course! A million times yes! I love you so much!" Jimmy said, jumping into Scott's arms practically dropping both of them to the ground, planting a small kiss on his now fiance's lips. It was gentle yet passionate and full of bitter sweetness of happy tears and love.
Scott took his flower's hand, slipping the ring onto his ring finger. The elf king plants a small kiss on the ring, leaving the codboy blushing tears still rolling down their face.
